I think it’s a wasted effort. Most people no you do what you can in the primaries and then back the winner unless he/she is worse than the alternative.

$23 an hour is hardly "cheap help".

And imagine, a republican being attacked because: "and claims Whitman had all the clues she was an undocumented worker"

What kind of clues were they? All the things we are NOT ALLOWED TO ASK OR QUESTION? BECAUSE IF WE DO, WE ARE RACISTS? Did she not speak good enough english? Well, there are plenty of legal immigrants who don't, and if we try to make english the official language we are mean-spirited. She looks like an immigrant? that's just bigoted and stereotyping.

What, are we all supposed to fire anybody who "show the signs" of being "undocumented"?

Tom Tancredo had illegal immigrants working on his basement.

I guess he’s one of those horrible RINOs you warned us about?

Frankly, it doesn’t matter if there are more conservative spoilers in this race. THey can’t possibly win, and it’s likely that if any of them ever hired anybody to help with anything, they probably had an illegal work for them at some point.

The problem is that the illegals are integrated into our society, and it’s near impossible to flush them out without a national system of verification.

Arizona is trying to rid it’s population in the most benign way possible, and is being sued by the feds. And you think individuals can do the job without the law coming down on them?

How Desperate is Jerry Brown?

Gloria Allred Desperate

Allred said the Social Security Administration sent Whtiman a letter dated April 22, 2003 saying the Social Security number provided by the housekeeper did not match the name on file. The housekeeper said she saw the letter when taking out the trash but that Whitman and her husband never asked about her immigration status after receiving it.

Whitman, however, said today that she recieved no notification from any government agency of any discrepancy between the Social Security number and the name.

“We never recieved that letter or that notification,” she said, adding the housekeeper was hired through an employment agency upon which she relied to check the worker’s information. The Whitman campaign said the employment agency form contained Social Security and drivers license numbers.

“I feel bad for her, she’s being manipulated, I think, and I’m sorry for that,” she said. “Everything Gloria Allred is saying is a lie.”

The Whitman campaign held a 10:30 a.m. teleconference with reporters in an attempt to blunt the impact of Allred’s press conference.

“What’s a California governor’s race without Gloria Allred inserting herself,” said campaign senior adviser Rob Stutzman.

He said he found it “really curious” that the news conference was being held the day after Whitman performed well in a debate with Brown, who Stutzman said is a “personal friend” of Allred and a campaign donor.

“The timing is curious,” he said. “This is the post-debate smoke bomb.”

Meg is safe. The maid was hired through an employment agency.

"Nicky has falsified the hiring documents and personal information she provided to the employment agency that brought her to us in 2000."

She (Allred) once held a press conference in the office of Governor Jerry Brown, of California, to cast media attention on his threat to veto a bill authorizing payroll deductions for child support payments. When the news media arrived, Allred and a group of women and children had hung diapers across the governor’s office. Brown reversed his position and signed the bill.

“I explained that I was married and our economic situation in Mexico was very bad...no job, no food, no place to live and that is why we came here...and that is why I need help... Ms. Whitman just laughed (Nicki starts to cry)...

“Dr. Harsh came in and said ‘I told you she was going to bring us problems.’

“Ms Whitman said, ‘calm down, calm down’ (Nicky breaks down and cries).

“I told them I believe in people and I told them people deserve a chance. I told them I don’t wish them any harm.

“Ms.. Whitman said ‘I don’t know what I can do but let me see what my lawyer can do.’

“On Wednesday June 29 she called me, ‘I talked to my lawyer and he told me can not do anything for you she said, I cannot help and don’t say anything to my children, I will tell them you have a new job, and have gone to school....I don’t know you, and you don’t know me, I have never seen you, and you have never seen me, understand’ (continues to cry)”
She throws me away like a piece of garbage

I’m doing this because I know there are a lot of Meg’s out there....”

Nicky Diaz Santillan is still an illegal, undocumented worker in the U.S. and it is unclear whether she will be deported or not. Her immigration lawyer is Marc Van Derhoot and he said they are exploring their options to help Nicky stay and work in the U.S.

So Meg Whitman obey the laws of the United States, and she’s being attacked for it?

Case study: high-profile attorney Gloria Allred wants the system that failed her to work for others.

December 8 2008

I attended a meeting of the National Women’s Caucus and they said to me, “We want to do a news conference and point out that then-Gov. Brown, Jerry Brown, was not keeping his promise to appoint more women judges.” I said why me? Nobody had ever heard of me, I didn’t know what a news conference was and I had never been to one. They said show up and we will give you what you should read. I criticized the governor, it got attention and he appointed more women judges. That’s how it got started. Why me? The reason was that everybody else wanted to be appointed by the governor to a board, a commission, an agency or a judgeship. The first, the second and the third rule in politics is loyalty, loyalty, loyalty.

Meg Whitman — Target of ‘Personal Destruction’

9/29/2010 8:30 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

Meg Whitman’s camp tells TMZ ... they are the target of “personal destruction” and claims the “sleaze machine” on the left is now in overdrive.

Spokesperson Andrea Jones Rivera tells TMZ, “Gloria Allred is a shameful manipulator and the timing of today’s news conference so close to the election should serve as a warning to Californians that they are witnessing dirty political smears at their worst.”

As we first reported, Whitman’s former housekeeper has teamed up with Gloria Allred and plans on making a legal claim stating how she “suffered” while working for Whitman.

Whitman’s camp claims Allred is a Jerry Brown supporter and is “playing shameful politics again.”

Alternate explanation: the illegal maid did see the letter in the trash because she put it there, having been watching the mail for anything that could result in her losing her job. No telling how many other pieces of mail from Social Security were opened, read, and thrown away before discovering and tossing out that one.
