President Barack Obama referred to illegal aliens in the United States as “us” on Tuesday while renewing his call for giving them a “pathway to citizenship”—an amnesty--and castigating opponents of such an amnesty as demagogues.
Obama’s made the statement at what the White House billed as a “backyard discussion” at a private home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It came in the midst of a 754-word answer he gave in response to a woman who asked: “How do you envision a comprehensive immigration reform as one measure towards America’s economic recovery and long-term vitality?”
“Let’s provide a pathway to citizenship for those who are already here, understanding that they broke the law, so they’re going to have to pay a fine and pay back taxes and, I think, learn English, make sure that they don’t have a criminal record,” said Obama. “There are some hoops that they’re going to have to jump through, but giving them a pathway is the right thing to do.
“Now, unfortunately, right now this is getting demagogued,” Obama said. “A lot of folks think it’s an easy way to score political points is by trying to act as if there’s a ‘them’ and an ‘us,’ instead of just an ‘us.’ And I’m always suspicious of politics that is dividing people instead of bringing them together. I think now is the time for us to come together.”

Sadly, there isn’t a prospective, top Republican POTUS candidate who wants otherwise.
The “right” thing to do is kick their illegal azzes back across the border where they belong. But that wouldn’t be fair would it. Its just not fair to make them leave when they are doing the jobs Americans can’t get.
I have never really had any real personal animus towards any president.
But Barack Obama is truly the scummiest, most anti-American president that we have ever had.
I don’t think there has ever been a president that has sided with foreign criminals and our enemies like this.
His treason on top of his pure incompetence is almost too much to bear.
Since the Kenyan Clown is quite possibly an illegal alien himself, his use of “us” is correct.
I can barely read his rantings—they are so sophomoric. He strings words together like a child. It is hard to believe he is a college graduate. He fails at English composition and elocution.
Lots of votes, which is all that interests this Kenyan Machiavelli.
Meanwhile, all those many residents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia who have bided their time, filled in the forms, waited their turn as they cultivated patience, continue to sit at home and wonder who speaks for them.
The usurper’s use of multiple social security numbers and his refusal to name his birth doctor or prove his place and time of birth are signs that he is an illegal alien.

If these illegals were percieved to be overwhelmingly to be future GOP votes, he’d be singing a different tune. As it is it’s just plain treason.
What is this? Obama wants to become a CITIZEN now? Just because a lot of people voted for him, he thinks he deserves special privileges?

The relationship between the US and Canada should be the model with Mexico. And failing diplomacy; Japan and Germany.
This comment suggests an astonishing failure to understand human nature. To say nothing of his constant attempts at said political points by portraying the body politic as an us-and-them phenomenon in which RATS are fighting off evil Republicans.
