"Dancing With the Stars" tonight presented video outtakes as evidence that the crowd Monday night did not boo Sarah Palin as she was about to be interviewed by the show's host.
The video clip aired tonight showed the crowd booing after the show's judges announced a score many in the audience apparently considered too low, and increased as one of the judges seemed to egg them on.
(snip)
But late Monday night, on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Bergeron said the crowd wasn't booing Palin, they were just upset because they felt that Grey should've gotten a higher score. Grey and Hough's 24 was the top score of the night.

Is it just me or was Michael Bolton pretty ticked off?
Surprising that ABC actually reported this! Maybe even they are seeing a sea change coming...
Ticked off and kicked off I’m happy to report
Acted democratic: lazy, elitist...played a victim (laryngitis)
What a JOKE to put the words ABC and NEWS next to each other.
Abusing the competitors will likely lead to celebs saying no when asked to appear on the show. I know if I was an established entertainer I wouldn't want the gay guy Bruno attacking me the way he did Bolton. Just my .02.
Naming the source is required at FR.
Clearly, I heard “nine”.
The booing was for the *8* scores.
Not for Sarah Palin. She was wildly cheered.
My bad. I thought she was booed last night. When they said earlier today that the booing was caused by what the judges said off-camera, I went back and looked at the clip. Right when the camera cuts away from Bruno, you can see him turn to say something to the crowd. This clip clears it up.
Boy, Jennifer Grey got the best nose job in the history of nose jobs. She sported a big honker back in the day.
Was Montgomery Burns around?
They booed Bruno because he Hassled The Hoff.
Bolton clearly did not want to be there. After the first dance and the criticism I think he picked up his ball and bat and wanted to go home.
Actually, her nose job was botched and had to be redone. It also ruined her career because it resulted in her being so unrecognizable, or so says she.
Said that yesterday. I knew they weren’t booing her. Funny when Tom said Sarah didn’t think so either because she was booking the judges too.
If you watch the video you can see they are booing before Bergeron even approached Palin for the interview; you can see this because he walks across the screen on his way to her.
I thought she looked more unique and cute back before the surgery...kind of like Ashlee Simpson. She looked better before her surgeries ... now she looks like a pale immitation of her sister.....
I doubt ABC is particularly a supporter of Palin as a whole, and Bergeron stated as much last night on Kimmel. He also stated emphatically that the booing was for the judges. Frankly I’m surprised they went out of their way to this extent, to put the issue to rest.
And put it to rest they did. Anyone who saw the footage they played tonight couldn’t possibly state with conviction that Palin was booed last night.
It didn’t happen.
