Are the local Orlando TV stations picking up on this? I haven’t seen any polls at all for this race.

Any poll info, local FReepers?

I can’t possibly imagine that he is getting by with this locally, seeing how some TV stations in that area go after politicians. (we were stationed in that area about 5 years ago)

I live in FL-8 (Grayson's district)

Apparently, this tape was just released hours ago. I heard about it on the local news radio station. There have been several local news reports (and places like factcheck.org)about the commercials in which Grayson has lied (i.e. all of them), but I don't know how much it's getting through to the local electorate.

I'm very concerned about this race. It seems to me that there are as many Grayson yard signs as there are Webster signs, and I've probably seen 10 Grayson commercials for every Webster one.

And, Webster's commercials are vague, feel-good messages, which are giving his opponents the opportunity to say that he's "hiding from the issues". I'm no political analyst, but it seems that he's letting the scumbag Grayson drive the debate.

No polls??

We were stationed in Merritt Island which during ‘04 was hugely conservative but I saw a ton of Kerry signs and the like put around town by Move On. They were really active in our area during that election. They were also positioned in the drive way of our polling place on election day.

I just can’t imagine Grayson winning. Too many college students from Cent. Fla too interested in other things than to be brought to the polls in a mid term election.

With the space center facing lay offs this Friday(our neighborhood was mainly space center employees) I am hoping that it reverberates into Orlando voting out this freak.

I'm in FL-8 as well. Grayson is the one who had his only Town Hall meeting in a room with a legal maximum capacity of 126. He packed the room with 95 ACORN and Youth for Obama members, let in 31 real people, while 1100+ vets in wheelchairs and other real citizens waited outside in the 100+ degree August night.... and never got inside.

Are you saying the vets showed up for Grayson? How does he get the Vet vote??

I’m not aware of any independent polls for FL-8. Grayson claimed to have internal polls that put him 13 points ahead, but given that he is such a consistent lair, that actually gives me hope.

I saw an article yesterday that said Grayson has 1.1 Million dollars in his campaign fund as opposed to $100,000 for his opponent. It makes it tough to react to Grayson’s attack ads, let alone get his own message out.

I just moved to Ocala and I want to throw something at the tv every time Grayson comes on.

I’m not sure if his district encompasses The Villages but I sure hope it doesn’t. I have to go to the grand opening of the new, VA clinic next month and I don’t want to see Grayson there.

The Villages is very strong Conservative. They bring out the biggest crowds for Palin and other Conservatives consistently.

Let’s hope that it is part of your district.

Far from it. They were there to question him about the then-upcomming Obamacare.

Grayson packed the room with ACORN and Obama Youth, spoke for one hour, then ducked out because he said it was "past his daughters' bedtime" (he had brought three of them with him to give him an escape.)

Here's a followup:

The local news radio station (WDBO, AM 580) is running this as their top story. They are playing it as a scandal, and reporting that Grayson took Webster's comments "completely out of context" (which is true, but I don't normally trust the media to stick to the truth).

They also report that Webster is seeing a 300% increase in contributions.

That's GREAT!!!

580 am, is that Brevard County or is that the AM station in Orlando? I can't remember but we listened to both conservative stations in the Merritt Island/Cocoa Beach area. I think the other station was 1150(?) AM.

580 AM is Orlando. They do news in the morning, then conservative talk shows the rest of the day.

Democrats,a special party for special people.

There is got to be a legal way of keeping them permanently out of power.I am not for a political monopoly,I just do not see a way for this country to survive if they keep getting reelected.
