The Boyz over at Hillbuzz have written several articles saying that Rahm couldn’t win the Mayoral race that people in Chicago don’t like him at all.

The media’s reporting that Rahm Emanuel will be leaving the White House by Friday of this week — and the way they put it, Emanuel’s just going to move all his stuff right into Mayor Daley’s office, no election required, as the media’s declared him to be Chicago’s next Mayor.
We just don’t see this happening, as we’ve talked about consistently on this site for some time.
People hate Rahm Emanuel in Chicago, because Rahm Emanuel is a foul-mouthed, mean-spirited, vindictive, jacka$$.

The Chicago political cognizatti know Rahm to be a foul-mouthed and vindictive operative, but what's new about that in the history of Robert Frost's "City of Broad Shoulders"?
The man-on-the-street in the Windy City hardly knows Rahm OR his mouth from a can of beans and couldn't care less if he runs for mayor or cover, whichever comes first.
The next mayoral candidate will have the apostolic blessing from da current mare along with all the benefits of the Daley Machine, its intricate ward apparatus, and its rich donors from the financial and commercial streets of the city. Rahm will NOT get that blessing.
The only question Joe Six-Pack will have or will get excited about is will the annointed one be Irish, Black, Lithuanian, Irish, Czech, Polish, Serbian, Italian or Irish.
Rahmbo is none of the above. He would appeal only to the north shore limosine liberal crowd and the Red and Pinko intelligensia and academics who habituate the campus and neighborhood surrounding the University of Chicago (Obamas's old stomping grounds).
Obama will have absolutely zero influence on who the next candidate will be. Cardinal George will have more say-so than The Messiah.
