As others have said, not unless you’re connected (in the city, at least. Where I lived in WNY, it was nearly shall-issue).

And since New York is one of five “registration” states, you cannot even own a firearm in your own home without a permit. Thus, New York City (and all may-issue statutes in registration states) are a direct violation of the spirit of McDonald v. Chicago.
