*** Abortion in America is a matter of “convenience.”

It's people that for financial benefit, out of shame or even just for looks choose to destroy a life that was created by the their actions and free will. There are thousands wishing they could have children and willing to adopt. Some willing to pay large amounts for adoption. Baby Mosses laws across the country make it easy for a mother to drop off a baby at a hospital, fire department or police station no questions asked. The health care system and social services in this country will pay for the pregnancy, delivery, and even as the kid grows up and if poor. Local city, state, federal and nongovernmental services available are vast. The purpose of abortion is to ideally (for those seeking this) destroy this life that was created so that friends and family don't know and the shame and inconvenience of a pregnancy are avoided. The logic is simple- I chose this, but I don't like what I asked for, so could you please make this go away because it doesn't fit into my schedule right now?

It is nearly entirely a matter of convenience! The arguments of rape, medical necessity and incest are attempts at rationalizing the rule with the rare exception. 50,000,000 since R vs. W for the mothers health?

It's a business based on fake ethical arguments. It's a quick and highly profitable business worth billions for doctors and bogus advisers like Family Planning. It allows sexually lascivious people to live on hedonistic avoiding all responsibility for their own behavior. It's a sad statement about our society where in our universities we teach the advent of the pill as the greatest medical or even technological advancement in mankind (no kidding - really taught in some schools). We are morally and culturally degenerating, abortion is but one of the manifestations.

Your post is eloquent and true.

Principally for the reasons you outline I do not think this polity will be able to avoid the crucible of judgement. When a culture, a nation, a people or a family deliberately and willfully kills its own future, it has none. As sure as taxes, as sure as death, an accounting will be required for this.
