Kind of like when the Soviets stole some software to use on their natural gas line and it blew the line up due to having been corrupted before they stole it!
That was mentioned here on FR in the last few days.

There talented Muslim programmers too. I bet a bunch of ‘em are studying this one right now. Expect it to make an appearance here in 6 months.

To any or our brave defenders combing the internet for enemies, that is pure speculation on my part.

I heard somewhere that it was because they were using pirated copies of Windows on their systems and didnt have all the security updates. Not sure if its true, but it would be funny. My understanding is that Microsoft will still allow security updates on pirated Windows because these are still connected to healthy/legal pc's, intranet or internet, and don't want to be blamed for huge outages.
My guess is Iran stole copies of the control software and the worm came from there, much like the trans-Siberian caper of '82.

I wonder if Iran had to pay for the anti-virus package that went with the virus, or if they are trying to edit their registry and delete infected files by hand. Maybe they forgot to make a restore disk.

Langner said Bushehr might have been the target, with the attack exploiting the facilitys use of unlicensed Windows software. While I'm not surprised to see yet another example of a MS-Windows virus infestation, you have to wonder if anyone installing MS-Windows software in critical infrastructure like a nuclear power plant was maybe a few beers short of a six-pack.

.
yes ... they may get back on line eventually ...
ONLY after they've suffered the engineering nightmare of replacing ALL electromechanical control devices with even a "bit" of RAM (that's a joke) ...
we've just witnessed the first battlefield deployment of the Software NEUTRON bomb ...
Film at eleven ...
