Using information from the latest U.S. census results, the maps show the extent to which America has blended together the races in the nations 40 largest cities. With one dot equaling 25 people, digital cartographer Eric Fischer then colour-coded them based on race, with whites represented by pink, blacks by blue, Hispanic by orange and Asians by green.
The resulting maps may not represent what many might expect Barack Obamas integrated rainbow nation to look like, as many cities have clear racial dividing lines.

I saw a bit more of the text of the article on the link from Drudge. The author makes a fallacious conclusion that minorities live in the poor part of town. The reality is that people who have done poorly in life tend to live in the poor part of town because that is what they can afford. People also tend to move where they can live in proximity to persons like themselves. There is affinity in racial, cultural and ethnic values that draw them together. Just look at a college cafeteria at the lunch hour. Tables with mixed groups tend to actually be aggregated around a common class or activity. Absent that reason to gather around a concept, the tables tend to be organized by racial/ethnic lines. That natural association was not dictated by school policy. It was selected by the individuals entering the cafeteria.

Perhaps, after all, there is a certain wisdom to the old saw that “birds of a feather” prefer to “flock together.”

My guess: Hamtramck, a Polish enclave. Yes. Thanks for the tip. I looked it up and it looks like the trend is that the muslims have moved in and the Poles have moved out.
That's where the to do was about the mosque broadcasting evening prayer, wasn't it?

While those who believe that they abhor “segregation” because it means one thing and one thing only to them - bigotry - they can’t understand that a component of human nature makes choices. sometimes, for a positive reason, the positive choice of shared values, which can produce the appearance of bigotry, when no bigotry is meant.

It looks like the highest concentration of white people wanting to live next to white people is on either side of Central park in the heart of bleeding heart liberal NYC.
