Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) - Investigators are on the case of a deadly shooting in Bridgeport that happened during an attempted robbery at a restaurant.
Police say two men tried to rob the Peking Restaurant on Wade Street around 9:00 p.m. But a worker there was armed with a gun shot one of the robbers.
The two robbers took off but crashed their getaway car nearby on Wood Street. The driver was found dead inside.
We're told the worker was licensed to carry the gun.
There's no word yet if police have caught up with that other suspect.

Just what we needed to here.Got a son moving to that area come Sunday for a job.At least there’s one less thief on the loose.
here/hear
If things work out for the best, the punk who escaped being shot was killed in the crash, and the one who was shot will have to go to a hospital and will be arrested there...
Good shooting, Citizen. Civilization thanks you.
When faced by two perps, put at least one bullet in each one. Hospitals are usually pretty good about reporting GSWs to the police...
Bridgeport is in Fairfield County...a *very* wealthy and "genteel" place.Unless he's planning to work of live right in that city he'll be OK.
Pretty confusing article. I had to read it several times before I realized that the one that was shot was the one found dead in the car. The only idication of of that is in the headline where it says it was a “deadly shooting”. At least I think that what it means. And why was the wounded, soon to be dead guy driving anyway? The other guy didn’t have a license?
Must have asked for extra soy sauce.....
The headline should read “Piece of Crap shot by honest person.”
He’s going to live in Stratford.Thw wife is going to brake down come Sunday,I can tell. Thanks for the information, gives me something to tell her.
+1
lame-o headline makes it sound like something bad might have happened.
It did. One got away.
