The idea is to move people, not have a monument. Light rail is hundreds of time more expensive per passenger per mile than alternatives, which already exist, which would mean no union skim, hack contractors, welfare for the finance class.

I know union steelworkers from that project. They say it was so poorly done, that it will be big repair maintenance bills forever.

Monorails don't get stuck in gridlock like cars and buses do.

But, but won’t the subway be the first to flood when the seas rise due to glo-bull warming?
To: Willie Green
Some things do get stuck, Willie. Looks like a liplock to me, like your love of statist boondoggles.

James Moore is a hardcore supporter of Sustainable Development. Antonio Villaraigosa has been working with ICLEI for years to promote Agenda 21. It never fails; every time you see anything dealing with passenger rail, the people behind it support this globalist agenda.

Thanks jim... conservatives know that we can always rely on you libertarians for your dumbed-down lack of class.

I like Neal Boortz idea of making all Government workers work from home and incentivize a way for business to all their workers to do the same. This would save the government a ton of money on infrastructure maintenance.

“big repair maintenance bills forever.”
Well that’s one way to maintain demand for your skills: do a lousy job and then the state will keep hiring you to fix what should have been done right in the first place.

They should call it “The Robbers Express”.
The Third world Gang Bangers will hop on and ride down to Santa Monica and rob, rape and murder the rich elites in Santa Monica.
To: Willie Green
If they were popular, they would at the station have gridlock, but they are not popular, so they never suffer from over use, like the immensely popular roads do.

He said they were ordered to do it according to plans and specs.

Monorails don't get stuck in gridlock like cars and buses do. Private buses leasing private ROW eliminate connections, and are not as subject to the inevitable breakdown, strike, or act of tyranny.
But then, you know all about tyranny, don't you Wille? There isn't a single big-budget proposal you have ever made here that isn't subject to centralized command and control.
Cars equipped with collision avoidance on intelligent freeways will soon carry far more passengers per hour than any rail system you can conjure, even beyond your usual pack of lies.

LOL. I think I would want rubber bumpers on those. Might even make them more fun.
