The Talk Shows
Sunday, September 26th, 2010
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Reps. Steny Hoyer, D-Md.; John Boehner, R-Ohio; and Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Education Secretary Arne Duncan; Michelle Rhee, schools chancellor for the District of Columbia; Randi Weingarten, president, American Federation of Teachers; Robert Bobb, emergency financial manager, Detroit public schools.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Marco Rubio, Republican nominee for Senate in Florida; Ken Buck, Republican nominee for Senate in Colorado; Sal Russo, chief strategist, Tea Party Express.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Presidential adviser David Axelrod; Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Queen Rania of Jordan.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut; Reps. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash.
Complete nonsense and a total waste of time. There are no "unrepresented millions" for this idiot to tap. This is the same nonsense the failed "coffee party" tried to gin up.
The Tea Party is the vast majority of Americans. Dem-Rep and Independents make up the Tea Party. Just another insider totally unable to recognized what is going on here.
The only issue I have with this is the Contract With America was met. It remains to be seen how successful the Pledge will be.
Every issue on the Contract was met and, if I remember right, only one failed to pass. Promises made, promises kept. Each item was brought up within the first 100 days.
Chris Wallace allows Reps. Steny Hoyer, D-Md to speak
and speak. (Is Wallace dreaming of his favorite RINO?)
They laugh about Pres. Bush, and Wallace squeeks out a few
words every few minutes.
Softball. Softball. No interruption.
Then Wallace holds up the GOP new Contract and they
have a shared laugh.
FOX should have a WARNING LABEL for viewers that this
is an advertisement for the DNC.
Stenchy lying about how much unemployment went up “under the Bush administration”
Bashing the Republican pledge and quoting TEA party criticism, Wallace says, yabut, they want it to go even further in that direction, not in your direction.
Wallace badgering Hohwer pretty harshly over allowing Bush tax cuts to expire.
Wallace points out the defecit record of the dem congress. Steny Hoyer defends it by saying it is a better record than they inherited?! lol
Steny says we were in a “deep hole” (which they’ve been continuing to dig for the last two years)
On the Pledge to America, Hoyer agrees with conservatives that it is “milk-toast”. Wallace points out that those conservatives don’t like it because it doesn’t go far enough in cutting spending, etc.
Hoyer blames Repub’s for not extending the Bush tax cuts. Wallace points out the dem’s hold the majority. Hello??!!
You’re right, Carley. From what I’ve seen here, both the Tea Party Patriots and our 9-12 groups are all getting more involved and organized across the state. Like you, I just hope it keeps up and continues.
Geez, Pence was awful... so much Gregory said seemed easy to refute and he didn’t, so much of what the Dem-shill said wasn’t even attempted to refute.
The Democrats took control of Congress in Jan 2007. They inherited a $160 billion deficit. They did not, as they lying claim inherit a $1.3 trillion deficit from GW Bush since THEY controlled the Congress that created that $1.3 trillion deficit!
If recent attendance at town hall meetings is any indication the pols are not going to be able to get away with much.
I was shocked at the turnout for our local congresscritter.
He is for cap and trade and the audience was relentless in criticizing his vote.
Stenchy just called Wallace “Charlie”
Wallace asking about Steven Colbert testifying as comedic character being appropriate.
What a lying POS, talking about Clinton’s great economy and Bush’s terrible economy.
Any idiot could look at economic performance charts and visually locate the historic congressional majorities and elections.
Steny Hoyer is all over the place this morning. (Chris has to remind Steny what his (Chris’s) name is at one point.)
Talks about the best(90’s) and worst (2000’s) economic periods in his lifetime. Not sure if he realizes the “worst economy” in his lifetime occurred while the dem’s were in the majority.
Thanks, that would be one of the charts I alluded to.
That explains part of the problem then; they should have looked for "ladder ready" jobs, not shovel ready.
Of course, Steny and his buddies are going to need bigger shovels if they want to see this to voters. Joe Isuzu should replace the donkey as the dems symbol; "would you buy an economic policy from this guy?"
Wow! You are so correct, MNJ! If only the ‘elite’, as they consider themselves, would get a clue!
Time for Steny to go to the old retired congresscritters home.
We are seeing the same thing here. Voters are not happy, and it’s not just Republicans. Republican candidates in previously held Democrat districts are all saying the people they talk to, door to door, are unhappy and willing to consider voting Republican.
I’m sure some of this is wishful thinking in some districts but there does seem to be a general attitude that the Democrats have failed and voters want something better.
Jinx! Brit Hume on the speeches at the UN, used the phrase “crude little thug”..... I wasn’t sure if he was referring to Ima dinnerjacket or obama.
Wahn, you RAT-hack, don’t refer to the Iranian mullahs as “conservative”
