Why is this important ? Because throughout the pre-Primary campaign season , the voters were told , over & over , that " this was just a one time resolution" Now we can see that it is seen as a permanent and established , State sanctioned , day of recognition for Islam in Hawaii . What's more , EVERY Hawaii Republican State House member voted for it and many of them now want us to vote for them [ in some capacity or another] FYI : No Hawaii State Senators voted for the Bill , much to their credit , but here we have it ,and we can see this is how Islam gets itself on the map: through trusting , gullible , do-gooders , whom they enlist to become their unwitting 5th Column

There doesn’t have to be another 9/11. The bleeding heart liberals have set out a welcome mat for the jihadis.

local Muslim leaders to delay their annual Ramadan celebration to avoid holding it on Sept. 11, the anniversary of the terrorist attacks in 2001.

Give the sumbitches some time - they'll eventually try to get it moved to the 11th one of these days, otherwise they're missing the full effect of rubbing our noses in their little victory dance.

Great post. I had read it was only supposed to be for that one time, too.

Sept. 24, which coincides with Islam Day in Hawaii. [snip] Last year, the state Legislature established Islam Day each Sept. 24

On what day of the year is Christianity Day celebrated in Hawaii?

Aloha Leo!

Can't recall if the Cherry Blossom Festival or Chinese New Year's celebrations were ever state sanctioned days of recognition in Hawaii. There is no day recognizing the Christian missionaries or the Catholics or the Mormons here either, but I suppose some may argue that Christmas is a state holiday as it is everywhere (except in Muslim controlled countries). The Jewish community over here has no such day, not even Hanukkah. Hmmm.....makes on wonder why so a small population is deemed so important to have a day of recognition by state's decree.

We all can go to Bon Dances, Chinese New Year celebrations, Christmas and Jewish celebrations freely and are welcomed to do so but it's doubtful we'll be welcomed to an Eid al Fitr.

Who'd want to go anyways?

"We wanted to be sensitive to the feelings over that horrible, evil act," said Hakim Ouansafi, president and chairman of the Hawaii Muslim Association.

Well, they're learning to make the right noises, but that doesn't mean we trust 'em.
