The National Rifle Association's PAC is backing Republican Nan Hayworth in NY-19 against incumbent Democratic Rep. John Hall, another outside source that could prove helpful in a heated contest.
The question will now be which other House races in New York the NRA looks to get involved with.
The press release, sent out by Team Hayworth is after the jump.
The endorsement has value for Hayworth in that particular district (whereas it wouldn't in other parts of the state closer to New York City). It also comes as Hayworth had a victory in court - she beat a challenge by Team Hall to her ballot petitions for getting on the Independence Party line, a blow to the incumbent who is already struggling in the closing weeks of his second re-election bid.
Fairfax, Va.-- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Nan Hayworth for election to the U.S. House of Representatives for New Yorks 19th Congressional District this November.
