Drugs? Espionage intrigue?
Most “diplomats” are really spies, I am told. At least the ones who aren’t political hacks.

Why couldn't it have been Ahmadinejad? Why on earth is that guy still alive? 7 million people in NYC and there's not one crazy guy to kill him?
Jack Bauer is no longer employed. Perhaps he could do the job...

The story as reported in La Prensa.
Nicaraguan diplomat found beheaded in New York.
Nicaragua’s consul in New York, Cesar Antonio Pavón Mercado, 34, was found slain today in his apartment in the city. The NYPD said the diplomat was found dead by his chauffeur in an apartment that he had in the Bronx.
Hispanic news site El Diario de Nueva York, said a senior representative of the government of Nicaragua in the United States confirmed that the consul was found dead today in his apartment in the Bronx. Mercado suffered a cut in the throat when he was found by authorities, said digital site.
THE PRESS had telephoned the vice chancellor of the nation Manuel Coronel Kautz, who said he was unaware details of the incident, which he had learned from the media and added that he personally knew Mercado.
CNN said the body of Mercado was found at the edge of the door of his apartment, located on the sixth floor. The door was apparently open.
CNN added that the diplomat had been living for eight years in New York and yesterday was to work at the Nicaraguan consulate headquarters located at 820 Second Ave in the city.

My guess is the perp will be a prince of the urban jungle, with his cap on asbakwards and his pant down below his butt.
Probably a robbery gone bad or maybe a drug deal gone bad or this guy “DISSED” said young prince.
