Part of Gov. Chris Christies belt-tightening plan for New Jersey was the termination of $7.5 million in public funding for Planned Parenthood clinics in the state, a decision Democrats in the legislature countermanded with a bill that cleared the Senate with a 30-10 vote sufficient to override a veto. But when that veto came and the Democrats scheduled an override vote, Republicans in the legislature backed down, and the measure failed 23-17.

If killing babies is so damned important, then why can’t all the billionaire libtards and trust fund red doper diaper babies pony up their own money to support it?
IMHO this is what every state should do.Let those who think this is a good idea support them but not a ingle dollar of taxpayers money should supprt these so called “clinics”.I find it hard to call killing someone “healthcare”.
Artemis is right but it did work out this time fortunately.
Christie has bounced around on abortion in his career to get top this point. He seems ambivalent.
I hope Planned Parenthood will still have the funds to help women acquire cheap reliable birth control. As much as I abhor abortion, I think many people forget how many abortions do not occur because of Planned Parenthood’s contribution to the community in birth control services.
A new conservative hero has finally stepped up and started kicking @$$ and taking names...........
Complete BS. PP’s strategy in giving contraceptives is purely to induce a false sense of security in people so they increase risky behavior which ultimately leads them back to the abortion mill.
AMEN and Amen
Great news Lakeshark.
Wake up....people are going to have sex whether birth control is ao available or not, especially poor people. To deny them access is to be the cause of abortions - not preventing them.
Just because you “know” something to be so doesn’t make it so.
People in fact do adjust their behaviors based on their understanding of expected consequences.
PP knows this, contraceptives are the seeds they sown in the community to generate business.
I believe in miracles. God has His mysterious ways of making miracle still happen
I pray every night that God will help us save America. There is power in prayer & if each of us said a prayer each night - we could see many miracles change America & save our country.
In this case, his fiscal conservatism ultimately supports social conservatism, whatever his view of abortion is. Praise be to God!
The Republicans could of done 10000000000000 things to make abortions harder or more expensive when they were in power before ... but they did nothing, because they didn't WANT to do anything, they were all RINO’s.
RE: “Woman should pay out of their ouwn pockets to kill their children.”

AGREE! Why are the rest of us paying for their abortions? Let them pay for the procedures themselves if they are so insistent on having those abortions!
That is a fascinating point. Why can't THEY have fundraising drives to bring down the cost of an abortion, like we do for Catholic-school-tuition? Gosh, maybe they could give scholarships.
No, they really do not. Hormones win out over common sense quite often.
Perhaps, if men who create unwanted pregnancies had to lose a testicle instead of a woman undergoing an abortion, we could do away with the whole notion of birth control altogether.
So in that case common sense would win over hormones, thanks for making my point.

Maybe Our Lord is working with the law of unintended consequences. No matter what, it works for me.
No, he is a fiscal conservative and NJ will be much better off as a result of his leadership. Hopefully he’ll remain in office long enough to make a permanent positive impact on the Garden State. Afterwards let’s hope he’ll spend two or three terms as a senator.
So, you are okay with chopping off testicles? I think it’s a great idea but will get no traction.
