(NEW) Rove on FoxNews absolutely railing on Christine O'Donnell rigth now

Posted on 09/22/2010 6:18:36 PM PDT by Scythian

As far as I am concerned he is the most hated man in the GOP, I dislike him 20 times more than McCain even, I cannot believe this guy

sorry, i beg to differ. he clearly misrepresented, factually, what happened on Hannity last night. regardless of ones distaste for Rove’s reaction to the whole O'Donnell situation, it is simply WRONG to miscast a situation, set up a flame-fest, and then walk away from it, never returning to say oops, my bad. There are plenty of threads where Rove-bashing goes on freely, this one was inaccurate and unnecessary.

I agree as far as that goes, but I won’t be losing sleep over the comments against Rove.

Usually a false thread is tragic, but this one only hurt the poster himself, it was not a big problem otherwise as most of what was said was valid anyway, and it was about a scum bag that needs to be removed from Fox and GOP prominence.

Why don’t you call them nuts?

I will. :-) The Delaware primary voters are nuts.

It may not have taken courage, but it kind of punts your anti-Mitt rant concerning him sabotaging Christine. Which was of course my point.

I posted this response on another thread but think if fits here as well;

I disagree. I believe Rove actually helped O'Donnell by bringing up all her "baggage". The Democrats were going to pounce on all of that anyway so Rove bringing it up took away some of their sting. It gave O'Donnell more time before the elections to put the charges behind her. It also gave her a HUGE assist in fund raising.

Rove was disappointed by the results of the primary because he was focused only on taking back the majority and thought Castle's loss would keep that from happening. You and I both believe Rove was wrong in his thinking. I guarantee you, Rove will be extremely pleased if Christine O'Donnell wins this thing on Nov. 2nd. Instead of this relentless attack on Karl Rove, I think it would be more beneficial to help O'Donnell win this thing. An O'Donnell win will send the right message to her doubters.

You are entirely and completely obsessed with Mitt Romney, it is beginning to look like either an unnatural hatred, fixation or you just cannot get enough of the Dude.

I am a huge Sarah Palin supporter, and consider Romney very qualified (like 1000 times better than Obummer the Kenyan), but he has no personality, even in person.

Charlie Crist has a great Campaign personality, but is worthless as a leader, and getting worse as he panics over Marco Rubio. We need to have candidates that have great qualifications that do not put us all in a coma.

I believe Rove had a serious Howard Dean moment, looked very bad, and is probably thinking about his future, and with six weeks to go will be helping a lot. If he was a woman I would say he had a change of life hormonal freak out. Whatever, he is calm now, and he better stay calm but excited at how close the Pubbies are to getting back the leadership in Congress and in all the State Houses.

This is not the time for freepers to go postal or Howard Dean like, we need to stay on message,be pragmatic, work very hard ,send money, and get the job done.

I posted this response on another thread but think if fits here as well;

“Bull, the democrat opponent plays that role, those two gutted her in her week of glory and momentum and in a way that is the worst week she will probaly suffer during this entire process, they stole that week and left perfect, focused sound bites for opposition ads.

When have you ever seen anything like this before where the party big cheese goes after the party nominee with this white hot venom? They are willing to throw a Senate race to stop this conservative movement.”

Romney left the GOP because of President Reagan, do you know which party his donations and fund raising efforts were serving in the year before he became a republican again to run for the Senate?

Do you want to the a photo of Mitt Romney fund raising for Planned Parenthood during that election?

How about some quotes regarding homosexuality or guns or conservative heroes like Reagan and Jesse Helms?

Do you want to see video of the most eloquent, passionate, and moving pro-abortion persuasion by a politician that you have ever heard?

Did you know that Romney was an incompetent in the only office that he ever held? Romney’s polling showed that he could not win reelection so he had to leave the Governor’s office after his first term, with 34% approval and the Democrats took it over.

Freerepublic is a good place to learn facts about Mitt Romney. We can flesh out all of this and more with quotes, video, and data, if you want to learn about Mitt.

I am familiar with all that you and others that are totally obsessed with Romney have posted, some true some taken totally out of context, some literally made up.

Long after Romney dropped out, I saw the “beating a dead horse postings” with the ranting and raving against him that seemed anti Mormon and visceral hatred. That turns people away, and makes them ignore your next postings because most people might not like him but do not believe he is the devil incarnate.

If you were in a room with someone that was talking like yours and other postings with so much angst, and anger people would head for the exit.

We all know that Sarah and Mitt will be vying for the Presidency, and we will be keeping track of everything going on with an eagle eye. I will be rooting and working for Sarah of course, but bottom line is replacing Obummer, and taking back the "peoples"’s House.

If you want him to get sympathy just keep beating the hell out of him verbally with unfairness and angry posts, and see how you start to look like the Rat Media and the Rats look when they treat Sarah like a stupid, unworthy hick and Pariah.

Just like with Sarah, when you are over the target you start to feel the flak, and especially with overkill, unfairness, and downright savage meanness, people start to defend and sympathize, learn about the real person and turn on the antagonists.

Most freepers will read and investigate, and go by facts, not hateful opinion. This thread started out with a poster that did not even watch the program that he posted about, and several freepers corrected him, after too many freepers piled on the target. He (the Poster)never came back to the thread. It was a great teaching moment for the website. Kudos... This is a tough, must win battle ahead, we do not need distractions.

Sam, you are wrong but certainly are another RomneyBOT
ignoring the FACTS.

Fact #1: it is Romney and his henchmen/women who appear
obsessed about .... Gov. Palin.

"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported:
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Fact #2: Your notion that Romney is "very qualified" is rebutted by:

Try to be nice, and do something that makes you laugh instead of beating on the keyboard with malice.

Everyone has things in their life that can make them obsess if they let it. Move on and think about positive things like the Rats losing Congress this year and The White House in 2012.

If you just cannot bring yourself to be cheerful and upbeat on your own, I have something to suggest that is sure fire mood elevater.

Go to Walmart to their Card section thinking of buying a card for a friend or relative having a birthday in the near future. Make sure you are in the funny card area with or without sound implanted. Throw caution to the wind, and laugh out loud when you feel the urge, and pretty soon other card readers will want to see what you are laughing at. Soon you are all showing each other cards and you are all laughing with gusto.

It works every time. People taking time to do something nice, make new friends, feel happy and upbeat, and share that joy with others. Try it, won't you?

I even talked politics with a former Democrat from Pa., that changed because of Obama /Biden, and is a very Conservative Lady, and about my age. I even gave her the FR address, and told her all about it. She needs more info to tell her liberal friends how wrong they are, and to counter their BS lies.

When you go and buy a card that has sound and is very funny, play it over the phone to a friend, you will make them smile and maybe make their day. Life is too short, and we have miles to go before we sleep.

You are soooooo right. And what could be funnier
than Mitt Romney --- exposed dog abuser --- running
to make certain the world knows about it?

"But the details of the event are more than unseemly — they may, in fact, be illegal.
Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws specifically prohibit anyone
from carrying an animal "in or upon a vehicle, or otherwise, in an unnecessarily cruel
or inhuman manner or in a way and manner which might endanger the
animal carried thereon.
" An officer for the Massachusetts Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded to a description of the situation
saying "it's definitely something I'd want to check out." The officer,
Nadia Branca, declined to give a definitive opinion on whether Romney broke the law
but did note that it's against state law to have a dog in an open bed of a pick-up truck,
and "if the dog was being carried in a way that endangers it, that would be illegal."

"Dog on Roof? What Was It Like for Romney's Pooch?
Scientists Say Dog Likely Experienced Wind-Whipped, Uncomfortable Trip
"Before beginning the drive, Mitt Romney put Seamus, the family's hulking Irish setter,
in a dog carrier and attached it to the station wagon's roof rack.
e'd built a windshield for the carrier, to make the ride more comfortable for the dog," read the article.
Jordan Kaplan, the owner of Petaholics, a dog walking service in New York City,
and a lifelong dog owner and dog lover, said Romney's actions were uncalled for.
....What Happens to a Dog on a Roof Traveling 50 MPH?"

"Romney's dog - This is a distinction Mitt Romney probably could do without, but he is surely
the first presidential candidate to be attacked for putting a dog with diarrhea
in a carrier and tying it to the top of a station wagon.
Romney's defense: Seamus liked it. "He scrambled up there every time we went on trips,"
the Republican said during a campaign stop in Pittsburgh. "He got in all by himself and enjoyed it."

"As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon,
keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble.
''Dad!'' he yelled. ''Gross!'' A brown liquid was dripping down the back window,
payback from an Irish setter who'd been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.
As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust,
Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station.
There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car,
then hopped back onto the highway."

"Story about dog on car roof comes back to bite Romney
Critics, jokesters make issue of tale
TIME.com's Swampland blog has been flooded with more than 200 comments
from readers complaining of animal cruelty"

Romney's bad behavior Exposed by Seamus

"Romney Loses Nomination Over Dog Abuse?
Romney was traveling that summer with his wife, five sons, and Seamus to his parent's cottage on Lake Huron.
But hours into the ride, Seamus apparently suffered diarrhea,
which ran down the back window of the car. Romney's sons, all under 13, howled in disgust.
Romney pulled off the road into a service station.
There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, and they drove on to Ontario.
.....David Kravitz wrote on BlueMassGroup, a liberal blog.
"It also strikes me as classic Romney: it solves a problem efficiently,
in a business-like manner, and with no regard whatsoever
for the suffering that the solution may cause."

I have been around FR for 10 years, and I have seen this unhappy, obsessive behavior towards groups or individuals get worse, and more antagonistic seemingly with no end in sight. Lucky for us that is not how the majority who just want input, straight truthful answers, and helpful conversation behave.

By nature Conservatives want to be left alone to lead exemplary lives, raising their families, believing in the all mighty, and contributing to the community in any number of ways. They are “salt of the earth people” and have standards to live by, and they fight back when they are threatened and go to war to protect their Country, their Property, their way of life.

This is a very difficult time for so many of us in this Country (obama/Rat economy) and people are very sensitive, and on edge, and do not want to be beaten up by someone saying “don't you get it”? Calm down when you want to try to convince people of your point of view, or lose them in a heartbeat.

You can be passionate about what you are talking about, that makes things more interesting and exciting, and if you are calm and not mean/over the top literally spitting out your posts people will respond. Otherwise they will just pay no attention and go elsewhere.

I wish that more posters had the gift of the late great freeper “Commontator”, he was a jewel and could disagree without being mean and nasty. I really miss his commentary and intelligence, and how much he brought to FR.

You are not going to convince me or anyone else that people you obsessively rail against are subhuman, and I think you know that.

I have no more time to spend on this matter, I am a caregiver with dozens of really important matters to address, like life and death.

You are one of the nastier, more angry, and personal posters as you keep evidencing in your posts, as you keep knocking individuals and making personal attacks, and knocking freerepublic in service of Mitt Romney.

You simply do not have the decency to answer post 252.
