I'm not a fan of Jon Stewart, but some time ago, if I recall correctly, Al Gore went on Stewart's show and tried to have a serious, meaningful discussion about Global Warming. Stewart just sort of looked at him and said, "You do realize that this is not a real news show, right? That's our shtick. We
pretend to be a news show, but we're really a comedy show. Just so we're clear -- I'm here to make fun of you."
Gore looked ridiculous. Stewart, on the other hand, seems to understand himself. He knows who he is. I'm really not sure that Colbert can say the same thing.
"Just so we're clear -- I'm here to make fun of you."
I might actually get to like Stewart if he uses that professional skill & attitude with Congress.
