Woodward's book portrays Obama and the White House as barraged by warnings about the threat of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil and confronted with the difficulty in preventing them. During an interview with Woodward in July, the president said, "We can absorb a terrorist attack. We'll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever . . . we absorbed it and we are stronger."

I bet in hindsight, if the people of Germany took care of things right before the Enabling Acts or youth indoctrination, they would have. I hear what many must have said back then, as long as he doesn’t take my gun or don’t do anything, he may impose martial law. As history shows, no excuse is needed.
I know many regretted waiting; there are also sick individuals who think Germany was at it’s greatest, participated and would do it again (see Soros, I’m sure he gave O plenty of ideas).

George Bush, Queen Elizabeth, and Vladimir Putin all die and go to hell.
While there, they spy a red phone and ask what the phone is for. The devil tells them it is for calling back to Earth.
Putin asks to call Russia and talks for 5 minutes. When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so Putin writes him a check.
Next Queen Elizabeth calls England and talks for 30 minutes. When she is finished the devil informs her that the cost is 6 million dollars, so she writes him a check.
Finally George Bush gets his turn and talks for 4 hours. When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is $5.00.
When Putin hears this he goes ballistic and asks the devil why Bush got to call the USA so cheaply.
The devil smiles and replies: “Since Obama took over, the country has gone to hell, so it’s a local call.”

My recollection is that as I read it, Woodward was writing things that he probably thought were not flattering, but they didn't come across that way to me.

Good questions. I think even if somebody could get into the position to ask Obama these questions, he’d lie. So they’d have to hypnotize him before asking. The answers would be a great coffee table book.
At some point people will rise up and react, and your scenario would be the catalyst, in my opinion. We are Americans, and we have our flaws, but the majority of us would react to eminent danger in the here and now. Some would not.
To answer your second question, “What are the measures to protect we the people from more than just a bad President”, I can only add that we start with the election in November. We WIN BIG in the House and Senate. The House files impeachment charges. The Senate holds the trial.
That’s why we must work our fingers to the bone and get the vote out. Join forces with like minded people, organizations and go door to door, getting the word out and making sure transportation is available for seniors and the disabled to get to the polls. Get your talking points in order and pass the info on. This is our important goal, and we should let nothing distract us from achieving it. We will not get another chance such as this once the elections are over. God help us.

I sure hope the heck I or my family members don’t have to sacrifice our lives to absorb one for the Democrats. I think people would go crazy if Obama put the Democratic Party hacks above inocent citizens lives. Obama is one sick mind...
IIRC, one of the planes' original destination WAS Los Angeles...two of the Los Angeles Kings hockey team's scouts, Mark Bavis and Garret "Ace" Bailey, were killed on that plane.
