It may not be possible to pass comprehensive clean energy and climate legislation in this Congress, writes Senator Jeff Bingaman (D. - New Mexico) in a recent op-ed, but if American wants to realize the energy security, environmental security and economic benefits of the clean energy revolution bipartisan efforts like the creation of a Clean Energy Deployment Administration (CEDA) cannot be put off.

How incredibly obtuse are these people...? They will ride that “global warming” donkey right off the cliff.
energy security, environmental security and economic benefits” WILL be secured when we drill our own, refine our own and build nuclear plants for the big urban areas.
AND ABOLISH the EPA!
Yeah, well, If they'd drop it and quit throwing regulatory monkey wrenches into the development part, it would only be the weather.
Changing global temperatures and weather patterns will inject a new element of chaos into the already-fragile existences of the worlds poorest people,
Sweet heavens, John, you need to get outside more, where every year temperatures change, it rains, it snows (or not), the wind blows (or not). We ordinary humans deal with this all the time. It's called Nature, and even sanctimonious pissants on power trips can't regulate that.
Senator Bingaman, Sir, may I remind you that the Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has now ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year, and we import more oil than ever before. America does not need yet another abysmal bloated wasteful government bureaucracy failure, and especially one based on wacko-environmental premises.
