Paladino Trails Cuomo By 6 Points In NY Gov Race
Quinnipiac Poll ^ | 9/22/10 | staff

Posted on 09/22/2010 3:51:16 AM PDT by drpix

Republican Carl Paladino, aided by a 4 -1 margin among Tea Partiers, trails New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic candidate for Governor, 49 - 43 percent among likely voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

Only 18 percent of New York State likely voters consider themselves part of the Tea Party movement, but they back Paladino 77 - 18 percent.

Cuomo leads 87 - 8 percent among Democrats while Paladino leads 83 - 13 percent among Republicans and 49 - 43 percent among independent voters, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University survey, conducted by live interviewers, finds. This first likely voter general election survey in New York in this election cycle can not be compared with earlier surveys of registered voters.

Women back Cuomo 54 - 34 percent, while men go 49 percent for Paladino and 46 percent for Cuomo.

Seven percent of voters remain undecided and 21 percent of those who name a candidate say they might still change their mind.

In NY it doesn’t matter, those women voters want to show how ‘nice’ they are and they aren’t informed enough to have a deeper understanding than the Democrats being nice and sensitive to the less fortunate.

Cuomo, like Spitzer, is a bully. And the best way to handle a bully is a direct smack in the mouth, which is what Paladino has done. Be bold, direct, unafraid, and relentless.

“Andi Call Daddy!”

Then Daddy calls Uncle Guido to have Vinnie and his gumbas arrange for Carl to have an ‘accident’. I’m not kidding. This still does happen in NY and the Cuomo’s ARE connected.

Mrs. panax and I met and talked with Carl Paladino last Saturday at a TEA Party rally. He was way too accessable. Our District Senator, Jim Seward, introduced us and we both got a big Italian hug and the Mrs. got a kiss from Carl. He’s really a nice intelligent man who is both angry and sincere in straightening out NY State.

He WILL be our next Governor.

"Six points is easily within striking distance..."

This is before Palidino gets to confront Cuomo (in debate or by ads) of the central role he played as Clinton's HUD sec'y in the subprime bubble and collapse that caused our present economic plight.

Here's the youtube millions of NY voters have not yet seen:

EVIDENCE FOUND!!! Clinton administration's "BANK AFFIRMATIVE ACTION" They forced banks to make BAD LOANS

The 1st half is a Cuomo press conference announcing HUD's extortion of banks into granting subprime mortgages, admitting "... {they are mortgages} which will be a higher risk and I'm sure there will be a higher default rate..."

LI woman will carry Cuomo to victory....assuming NYC is 90%+ Cuomo

I live on LI....most women out here really don't have a clue with regard to politics....

It really comes down to the Island....and I don't have much hope that Paladino will get through to the LI soccer moms....especially with the MSM carrying Cuomo's water....

I does my heart good to know that Democrats all over the country are not getting a restful night’s sleep as they toss and turn every evening worrying if they will be able to survive the November purge.

The Governor of NY has enormous numbers of political jobs which he must fill. I am sure that Rick Lazio would enjoy one of them (Maybe the Court of Appeals — the highest court in NY). Buy him.

“men go 49 percent for Paladino and 46 percent for Cuomo.”

What the hell is wrong with the so-called “men” in NY?

Are there that many brain-dead, poodle-walking metrosexual men in NY?

In fairness to Castle he at least hasn't threatened to go third party or endorse the Dem.

I read somewhere he even called O'Donnell last week, and an endorsement is not impossible now. Not saying it's coming, but it's not off table completely.

If New York is this close, then November 2nd is going to be a very long day for the Democrats.

Only because after what is happening to Crist and Murkowski he realizes that it would split the dem vote and help Christine O'Donnell. What he is doing now is literally the most damaging thing that he could do. And that is not accidental.

This is where Murkowski and Crist screwed up. If you back the winner then wait your turn you could snag a victory in the next election. Just stupid.
