I've still got my copy.
The Haunted Tank ... Sergeant Rock ... Sergeant Fury and his Howling Commandos ...
Speaking of flaming....
Marvel should change their name to Fabulous after introducing this guy...
Maybe all the fat, nerdy, 35 year olds ran out of unemployment and had to go back to their jobs at McDonalds?
I wish comics would return to the day when they were a fun escape instead of a mouthpiece for the writer's political ideals. This was just a fun appearance by Reagan. It doesn't give a hint as to the writer's political leanings, unlike the comics of the past 10-15 years, where they are constantly pounding the Republicans and praising the Democrats.
During this era of X-Men they had a number of cameo appearances by famous people. A few months later, during a fight in San Francisco, the X-Men are working with a couple of SFPD detectives, including a familiar-looking guy named "Harry" who carries a .44 Magnum, "The most powerful handgun in the world".
I stopped in the mid-90’s and didn’t realize how bad it got after that. I watched the tail end of a show about comic superheroes on History International today. God that was disgusting. Even Stan Lee lost quite a bit of my admiration for him. Captain America honestly after 9/11 going after the government for some plot to sell weapons to terrorists. WTF!!! Can’t portray Muslims as any type of enemy.
