The presenter of ITV's West Country breakfast bulletin informed astonished viewers that an animal more commonly spotted near the North Pole had turned up in the seaside town of Bude. Video footage showed a large, white beast lying on the shore.
"A walker in Cornwall has caught an extraordinary sight on camera. A polar bear has washed up on a beach near Bude," an excited Miss Lloyd said. "The bear comes from the Arctic Circle and an investigation is under way as to how it could have ended up there."
Alas for Miss Lloyd, the tale of the Cornish polar bear turned out to be several thousand miles wide of the mark.
Closer inspection revealed that the polar bear was, in fact, a cow. The farm animal had been bleached white by sea water.

Maybe it was a rare Polar Cow
It does look like a polar bear in the pic.
Actually looks like a small wax figurine. Isn’t that a popsicle stick?
This is sad. It may the last polar cow to exist. This global warming thing is way out of hand. /s
so how did a polar cow end up so far away from the ice pack in the Arctic???
that also points to global warming
Judging by the photo....looks like that polar bear found someone’s booze stash. Iceberging While Intoxicated
In reality, it is not unusual for polar bears to venture south of the Arctic looking for food. They have been known to go far inland (hundreds of miles from the ocean) if hungry and crazy enough. It has nothing to do with the Global Warming Hoax.
Polar Bears live to eat....and my biggest dream is to read a story of Polar Bears eating a bunch of Liberal Global Warming Hoaxsters....
To you and I, I agree it does. If we saw a polar bear next to it though, it’s my take it would be very obvious to us this wasn’t one.
The neck is a big give-away. The legs are also a pretty big tell. Polar bears have wide paws, not pointy hoves. I would also point out that a polar bear’s head would rest on it’s chin, and be quite distinctive.
That is not a cow
It is a dead dog or cat that fell off a boat. I watched a city worker remove a dead cat that washed ashore at the beach in San Diego. The cat was bloated up to the size of a pig. Fish started feeding at the extremites. The head looked like something from outer space. The animal in the picture does not have the hump on the back which is common to all Polar Bears and Grizzlies.
bear/cow?
It’s Bi-polar bear!
Itsa genetikally skrewed (engineeered) up RAT and RINO crosspolinated fat pig.
It is probably a very bloated cow that was in the water for quite a while. I have seen rats that were in the water for a long time and they don't look much like a rat. The bodies are bloated and the legs are puffed up.
Indeed, we have permanent populations of polar bears here in Ontario, as far south as James Bay.
And then there's the Montauk Monster.
Or a piece of 2x4.
Maybe 2x6 now that I look at it again.
