FBI: Fort Bliss gunman was retired Army sergeant

ORT BLISS, Texas — The FBI has identified the gunman who opened fired at a Fort Bliss convenience store before being killed by responding officers as a retired Army sergeant. The agency also says one of the two women wounded in the shooting has died.

I was born at Ft. Bliss almost 34 years ago.

Then you were born in El Paso. Same as me - 43 years ago.

Fort Bliss is one of the largest Army bases in the world. There is no better place in the U.S. to train for the middle east. And man, has it ever grown in the past decade.

Small thing, the US Army has Posts, Navy and AF have Bases.

Fort Bliss is an Army Post, not a base, but it does have Biggs Army Air Field.
