KFI Los Angeles also just broke the story regarding multiple arrest of City of Bell officials.
Hmmm, I wonder what political party these city officials belong to ... ? The author neglected to mention that in the article. /sarc
Of course, if they were Republican it would have read differently. REPUBLICAN city officials were arrested. REPUBLICAN Rizzo collected a salary of $1.5 million ... etc.
I saw the people attending a Bell Council meeting on the news last night. These are what Tea Party members SHOULD be. They’re on the verge of torches and pitchforks there. Heads SHOULD roll there. Let’s hope it has a ripple effect.
Are these the folks who were making like 850,000 a year? I sure hope so. This is basically theft.
Great news! I hope it spreads like wildfire because this is happening in cities all over the country.
Wire fraud. Used public funds to pay back private loans. Maybe grounds to take away pensions.

At least when John Dillenger robbed you, he pointed a gun at you and smiled, but you still knew what his intentions were. The politicians of Bell, CA just smiled at the citizens...and then robbed them.
Sounds like the Bell is cracking................
When are they going to arrest state and federal officials for squandering our hard earned money?
short rope, tall tree.
Former Bell City Manager Robert Rizzo
All of these people are innocent!
This is a malicious prosecution of Italian and Latino’s by Tea Party activists!!!

The city of Bell is a crappy place, hardly a proper address for somebody knocking down $800 grand, so:

Huntington Beach, CA 92648
Recorded 7/5/2007

*Interestingly this home is a block away from the home previously owned by Huntington Beach’s own Mayor that served federal prison time for felony real estate fraud, one Pamela L. Houchen who resided at 1917 until her home was foreclosed.
(Mr. Houchen, from a prominent real estate owning family had divorced her.)
Another former Mayor, Dave Garofalo was found guilty of FPPC violations and resigned in disgrace, forbidden to ever hold public office. He lived nearby.
He sold newspaper ads to people with business before the City Council, and lived a few blocks from City Hall.
He was preceeded by Jack Kelly, former Mayor and TV actor, fined for FPPC violations. Lived in Huntington Harbour.

It is a wonderful neighborhood, directly adjacent to Huntington Beach City Hall at 2000 Main St.
The Huntington Beach people mentioned were all Republicans, for the curious.
Houchen dealt for her own account, using forgery of title and escrow documents.
Garofalo sold favors to others.
