"Brats" is a loaded word, isn't it? It detracts from whatever the point was supposed to be here.

Actually, I quit reading after the word “brats”. That told something about the person who wrote this.........
I have always treasured the word “brat.” I was an Army Brat, and proudly so. My daughters were Army Brats, proudly. Nothing wrong with being a “brat.”
