Are you saying ODonnell DIDN’T do a write in campaign in 2006? Or are you asking where I saw it?
Most of the left wing sites are reporting it...
So without documentation, you just repeated it. You betcha.
See my tagline.
There are many here at FR that have thrown in the towel with the Republican Party. This, though, is the mission of those of us who have stayed to fight.
I'd guess that a majority of FReepers want to reform the GOP because starting a third party is not going to be helpful or useful for years. Better to squeeze the RINOs out and keep the infrastructure than starting a new party from scratch. And we will keep more votes on our side by doing it that way, too.
You win.
Huh? These boys need to go back to school and study up on recent political history.
Stunned me too - but here it is in Wikipedia FWIW.

O’Donnell ran in the Republican primary for the 2006 U.S. Senate election in Delaware, finishing in third place,[31] with 17 percent of the vote, behind winner Jan C. Ting and second-place finisher Michael D. Protack.[32] She then ran as a write-in candidate in the general election against Ting and incumbent Democrat Thomas R. Carper, finishing with 4 percent of the vote as Carper won re-election.[14]
Well, there’s never a shortage of supreme egos in politics. Especially in the US Senate.
However this reveals what many of us have known all along. We have a Republicrat oligarchy. The Pubes controlled the Prez, House and Senate for many years and increased govt spending to unheard of levels. If the current Pubbie membership took back over there would be no repeal of Obamacare. There would just be more “go along, get along”. More tax collection for the Fascist Welfare State. Faced with a tea party based RINO purge the Pubbie incumbents prefer to spoil the races and have a buddy-Rat win rather than see a shift to true conservative values.
It is time for Mitch McConnel to step up and do something about murcowsky (just helping the write-ins with the proper spelling). Take away her committee appointments, put her into the smallest possible office and make sure that she knows that she is not welcome at ANY Senate GOP functions for the remainder of her term.
No, they are not. They are simply changing their skin. Now, more than ever, the record must be the primary tool in voting. If a candidate was a neocon/liberal in the past, don't believe in any "Road to Damascus" conversions.
Principle over party. Throw the bums out!
I agree, and since any party funds spent in a cycle would work against the party if the loser subsequently decided to run otherwise I think the party should make receipt upon the funds conditional upon return, at least, for such a move.
Egos are hard to crush but it can be done.
