As we reported earlier today, for her very first outing on ABC's dance competition series "Dancing with the Stars," Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and America's Most Famous Unwed Teen Mom, will do the Cha Cha to "Mama Told Me (Not To Come)."
[Insert your double entendre joke here.]

VOTED!
She wasn’t the best contestant, but she also wasn’t the worst. The judges liked her, and they said she had talent. This article was simply another stupid, mindless hit piece.
This thread was pulled for a time at the beginning..I protested and wrote a story which was pulled. You were the first one I saw in Pings...to show it was back. Because “we don’t attack the kids” was the reason for the pull. End of story.
Gotta agree with you on this one. Can you imagine Chelsea Clinton doing this? C’mon , Bristol, get a life!
How does this make her inappropriate, Bristol is, "ladyjane"?
I thought Mom would not want the spotlight taken off her daughter and the security issues along with..so questioned that report before the fact..
She’s there to boost ratings.
They won’t boot her until they have no choice.
Bristol is getting a life. That is why she is doing what she wants to do. She is also making $400,000.
"... her mom announced[I haven't verified] that she would be attending the first live show and once again all eyes were off of Bristol Palin and onto Sarah Palin. Security on the lot for tonights premiere episode of Dancing With The Stars has never been higher. All audience members will be forced to walk through a metal detector and be subject to a bag search. Selected cars will be searched as they enter the lot and the studios own security team has been told that should their be a beach of security, Sarah is their number one priority, not Bristol Palin (or any other contestant for that matter). With rumors of her mom stumping for votes for Bristol swirling and the over-the-top security, Sarah has once again overshadowed Bristol. It is now up to Bristol to hit the dance floor and prove that she can perform and do something without her moms help or influence. He mom can influence a lot of people and can cast a hell of a shadow, but Bristol Palin can prove to the world that she is her own person by going out there and giving one hell of a performance."
I think people like Bristol and those of her age group can identify--
She is pretty. I hope they don’t hurt her. Somehow I fear her venture into the spotlight is like cats playing with a mouse. Kind of the same feeling I got when I discovered McBackstabber had arranged for Sarah to sit down for an interview with Katie Colon.

Part One posted above... she handles herself really well.. this is part 2 Hulu has a better screen than YouTube
If you listen to the interviews with Leno, she is asked a similar question, but replies she has been in the limelight growing up as her mom was mayor..and says this is not new.
I know Leno to be a good person, she was comfortable with him. I doubt she will be going on Letterman, however :)
Words fail me to describe how snarky your remarkis.
Don’t I remember Letterman wishing rape on the Palin children as a “joke” on his show? These people are insanely evil.
I just think it is amazing she pulled it off without falling on her butt. I would have. She is a pretty woman.
Agree. She is a young person who lacks experience, but came across in her dancing bit as genuine. Good for her and shame on the negative nellies.
Whether SHE came or not is beside the point.
