Last Friday, I dissected Harry Reids cap-and-gown illegal alien amnesty i.e., the DREAM Act amendment to the defense authorization bill up for a vote this week.
Last Wednesday, I warned you about the shamnesty Republicans who have voted and sponsored past DREAM Act nightmares.
The open-borders lobby is out in full force to get the illegal alien student bailout passed. The NYT this morning pleads with the McCain/Soros Republican wing of the party to come back to the DREAM Act fold. Alinskys avenging angels are pounding the pavement, staging rowdy sit-ins, and shutting down traffic to get what they want.
As the Socialist Worker Online puts it: They are undocumented and unafraid.
What are you doing to make your voice heard?
Via Roy Beck at NumbersUSA, heres a handy phone list of Senate fence-sitters, flip-floppers, and feckless sellouts.

TOUGHER UNCOMMITTED TARGETS
CAN YOU PERSUADE THEM?
Your first and most important phone calls are to the Senators above. ACTION: The following list is of Senators who have shown a real proclivity toward amnesty but seem to have remained uncommitted. Under the pressure of the impending November elections, some of these Senators could be persuaded to vote NO.
I would emphasize with them that a controversial bill like this has no business being put inside a Defense bill, regardless of how they may feel about the amnesty itself.

We all have to phone and keep on phoning. It has made a difference and it can make a difference again.
Isn’t this wet DREAM Act the equivalent to making another whole new crop of illegal “anchor babies” except that they weren’t born here? This needs to be stopped. ASAP!
Please, everybody phone and send emails. We stopped it once and it we can it again. Every call call and letter counts.
You forgot to include McCain. Recent comments, after the primary was done, indict him as a potential yes vote.
Im sick to my stomach. Cannot believe a senator from Texas is on the fence. Cant get through, hopefully you guys are?
Lets all keep trying.
“You forgot to include McCain. Recent comments, after the primary was done, indict him as a potential yes vote.”
—Thanks for the heads up, Ingtar.

If Brownback votes yes, he is finished before he even won the Governor’s race. Kansas 9/12 and other tea party groups will have to find someone to beat him in the next cycle.
We need to keep the pressure on these politicians.
Chris Kobach might have to be the person opposing brownback. Although I hear he wants to go to congress eventually.
yes we do need to pressure the politicians. According to Michelle Malkin: Utah GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch is one of the original architects of the DREAM Act. So is Indiana GOP Sen. Dick Lugar. Other GOP Senators who have voted for the DREAM Act: Bob Bennett, Sam Brownback, Norm Coleman, Susan Collins, Larry Craig. Chuck Hagel, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Trent Lott, Mel Martinez, Olympia Snowe. Former Arkansas GOP governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is not only for the DREAM Act, but for vastly expanding tuition benefits for illegal aliens.
Alert other Republicans and Dems:
Sen. Brown calls DREAM Act proposal ‘amnesty’ (9/20/2010)
“BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown says a federal proposal to allow illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship through college or military service is “amnesty” and supporters are “playing politics with military funding.”
The Massachusetts Republican said Monday that he is opposed to illegal immigration and is was deeply disappointed that the DREAM Act has been included in a defense policy bill.”

The US Senate and House really suck . . . we have got to vote all these bastards and traitors out of office; systematically.
Well, at least on this issue, he does not sound like a reincarnation of Sen. Ted Kennedy.
