Stop the illegal alien...DREAM Act Senate phone list; Update: Vote scheduled Tuesday 2:15pm

Last Friday, I dissected Harry Reid’s cap-and-gown illegal alien amnesty — i.e., the DREAM Act amendment to the defense authorization bill up for a vote this week.

Last Wednesday, I warned you about the shamnesty Republicans who have voted and sponsored past DREAM Act nightmares.

The open-borders lobby is out in full force to get the illegal alien student bailout passed. The NYT this morning pleads with the McCain/Soros Republican wing of the party to come back to the DREAM Act fold. Alinsky’s avenging angels are pounding the pavement, staging rowdy sit-ins, and shutting down traffic to get what they want.

As the Socialist Worker Online puts it: They are “undocumented and unafraid.”

What are you doing to make your voice heard?

Via Roy Beck at NumbersUSA, here’s a handy phone list of Senate fence-sitters, flip-floppers, and feckless sellouts.

DEMOCRATS ON THE FENCE WHO ARE GOOD PROSPECTS

Sen. Pryor of Arkansas 202-224-2353, 501-324-6336

Update MM: Johanns’ office tells callers this morning that he will vote AGAINST the bill.

Sen. Gregg of New Hampshire 202-224-3324, 603-225-7115

Sen. Hutchison of Texas 202-224-5922, 214-361-3500

TOUGHER UNCOMMITTED TARGETS

– CAN YOU PERSUADE THEM?

Your first and most important phone calls are to the Senators above. ACTION: The following list is of Senators who have shown a real proclivity toward amnesty but seem to have remained uncommitted. Under the pressure of the impending November elections, some of these Senators could be persuaded to vote NO.

I would emphasize with them that a controversial bill like this has no business being put inside a Defense bill, regardless of how they may feel about the amnesty itself.

REPUBLICANS

Sen. Murkowski of Alaska 202-224-6665, 907-271-3735

So... Our Senators from Maine are “Good Prospects”, huh?

I sent them an “E-mail” via their web sites today, but considered it to be a study in futility.

FWIW, here’s what I sent them:

“Please be advised of my strenuous objection to Sen. Harry Reid’s flagrant attempt to impose his will on the American People while ignoring ours - again.

Issues in particular to which the clear majority of Americans seem to be solidly opposed to include the efforts to repeal the “Don’t ask - don’t tell” policy in the U.S. Military.
Many professional Officers have stated publicly and privately that open, promiscuous displays of homosexuality within the ranks of our military would be generally demoralizing and detrimental to the integrity and effectiveness of military units.
I really don’t think that the Constitutional rights of any gays in the military are being terribly infringed upon under the current policy.
Please do not place the security of our Nation behind the radical agenda of the militant homosexual lobby.

Another affront to our national sovereignty and security which Sen. Reid is attaching to the Defense Appropriations Bill is another (how many have we endured so far?) “DREAM” amnesty plan. I know it is called “Immigration reform”, but we see through the ruse; it’s an overt means of infusing the American Electorate with an estimated 2 million “Instant Democrat” Voters with which to STEAL future elections. To add insult to injury, American Taxpayers will be forced to support, via. welfare, education, health care, incarceration etc. this substantial erosion of our rights of legitimate Citizenship and suffrage.

According to reputable polls I’ve seen, many more Americans are opposed to the practice of “abortion on demand” without extenuating medical necessity than our politically correct news media would have us believe.
So why does Sen. Reid insist on also attaching to this “must pass” Defense Bill (a despicable practice, in my opinion, used to circumvent the Constitutional Legislative process) a requirement for Military Physicians to perform abortions at Military medical facilities?

How many times have we had to contact you over the past couple of years to protest Constitutionally questionable (at best) impositions of Federal despotism upon a majority of our (legal) population time and time again, yet “We the People” are routinely overruled by what seems to be our “Ruling Elite” in Washington, and abuses and infringements repeatedly attempted or forced upon us anyway?

Even when the voice of the People prevails, it is only a matter of time before our overlords bring their oversized Executive / Legislative or Judicial hammer (like the one Speaker Pelosi so arrogantly brandishes in the face of her TEA Party critics) down again in order to drive it into our lives by force against our will. Our “Representatives” seem to be representing affluent and often foreign special interest cabals a lot more than they are the American constituency who allegedly elected them.

We the People still DO influence the outcome of elections here in America to some extent.....
Don’t we?

Should the dominant Majority in Congress prevail in creating, by fiat, 2 million “instant Democrat” Voters and organized criminal syndicates like “ACORN” (or whatever they are calling themselves these days) and the “New Black Panther Party” continue to threaten and intimidate Americans who they racially discriminate against at the polls with total impunity and defraud our electoral system, I shall have to seriously question our actual ability to influence the fate of our Country - and our progeny.

Have our elections become, as they have been and in some places still are under tyrannical systems, a mere exercise of political theater - with a predetermined outcome?

Are these Senators and Federal Bureaucrats “representing” us, or merely “RULING over” us?
The answer to that question is becoming, in my humble opinion, more obvious with every passing day.

Thank you for your attention to these issues. “

Harry Reid is an idiot. This vote being held is just going infuriate people even more than they are now.

McCain needs to fear that if he is for it, many of those who would have voted for him will switch to the Democrat.

We need to take action and make ourselves heard and let the Senators know our anger.

It’s important to remember that many GOP senators like McCain and Cornyn _DO_ want amnesty. They admit that. They just want it as part of a “comprehensive” package.

So McCain is opposed to the DREAM act tomorrow, because he wants it only as part of a big amnesty package, that includes securing the border.

It looks like we will win tomorrow, but unless there is a major change of heart its going to come up again and again and again. There are almost no senators who want to ship all the illegals back.

The good news is at the moment the Republicans have enough votes to block the whole thing, the entire defense bill. If they can do that tomorrow, then it won’t come up again until after the election.

This is from rollcall.com:

Senate Armed Services Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.) acknowledged Monday that Democrats are still searching for a handful of GOP votes to move to the defense authorization measure this week.

We still need to keep especially after those who waffle or lean to supporting it.

Pushing this 6 weeks before an election?

It will probably pass.

There is NO WAY Republicans will be able to repeal this. They won’t have 2/3’s of both houses for the Veto override.

“Texas Sen kay Bailey Hutchison after earlier being not sure has announces she will vote against it.”

That’s surprising. I called her office this morning. She’s been a real squish on amnesty, which is why I’m glad she’ll be gone in 2012. One less RINO! Cornyn is next if he doesn’t get with the program.

You forgot to include McCain. Recent comments, after the primary was done, indict him as a potential yes vote.

A little bunch of college dopes had “Pass the DREAM Act” written on a large American flag which lay on the ground outside of city hall here in Boston tonight.

They can’t help themselves. If only I had a Koran to burn in front of them...

“You forgot to include McCain. Recent comments, after the primary was done, indict him as a potential yes vote.”

McCain indicated that he would stop the bill. The bill must be stopped from coming to the floor. The bill has been written by illegal alien activist groups. It is worse than the 2006 amnesty bill.
