His prospects are actually amazing, Marsha has really POed the Democrats out here, many can’t stand her for losing “Teddy’s Seat” and will vote for Jim, or just not vote for her, either way it’s a vote for Jim.

He needs to money to help with Name recognition, he isn’t a politician.

Here are his stances:

Stopping Political and Government Corruption

Jim’s number one priority as Attorney General will be to set up a Political Corruption Joint Strike Force. Working with Federal, state and local law enforcement, we must restore public confidence and trust in all of our state and local government agencies and leaders. We have many responsible, good government officials who are being tarnished by those corrupt officials who attempt to profit from their positions of authority.

Bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, vested financial interests in entities doing business with the state or towns, exchanging favors, gifts, double dipping the taxpayer, pension fraud... the list of offenses and current scandals goes on. These crimes against democracy and our families are destroying the foundations of this great state and our country.

An Attorney General who turns a blind eye towards these crimes because the criminals are political supporters should find a new career. Ignoring these offenses until other Federal agencies or newspapers uncover them is simply irresponsible and complicit.

Illegal Immigration

Let us be very very clear. Legal immigration is as American as apple pie. Our nation was founded by immigrants from all over the world who followed our laws in applying for immigration. Each legal immigrant brought to this country a wonderful diversity that makes us the great melting pot on this earth. Diversity of opinions, ideas and cultures - all united as Americans.

Illegal immigration is a problem which the federal government continues to drop the ball on.

Massachusetts does not have the same illegal immigration problems as Arizona... yet. If we continue to think “being illegal is not illegal” as our current Attorney General Martha Coakley thinks... we will indeed have a much bigger, more dangerous problem on our hands in the near future.

The Arizona legislation that was filed in Arizona was a measure that the citizens of Arizona felt they needed to do. Their problem was crippling their economy, their law enforcement resources and got so bad that the US government actually ordered Americans not to go on American land in Arizona.

In Massachusetts, we have the ability to stop illegal immigration with a series of simple steps.

When anyone is arraigned before a court they should provide proof of citizenship.

Proof of citizenship should be required for any government assistance.

We need to remove all economic incentives for illegal immigration in our state. There should be no jobs for illegal immigrants and we need to go after the employers who hire illegals.

Go after “No Match” social security numbers being used by illegal immigrants to gain employment.

Illegal immigrants are here because they violated our laws from the moment they stepped foot in our country illegally. Illegal immigration is illegal. They are breaking the law.

Consumer Protection

The Attorney General’s office should be proactive in responding to financial fraud, internet scams and those individuals and companies which seek to profit by deceiving consumers. Our current Attorney General is a reactive attorney general, usually responding months and years after the abuse and damge has been done. Its sort of like going to a fire and putting a bucket of water on it... but only.... three months after the fire went out and the damage was already done.

We need an Attorney General who is “street smart”. Who can recognize scams and deceit from the moment they are launched and who can react quickly and strongly in stopping them before they cause damage.

I will set up a Attorney General hotline and email box that folks can contact 24/7 to report suspicious activities and we will investigate.

Fighting ObamaCare

“ObamaCare” is unconstitutional. The Federal government is mandating that individuals buy health insurance from it. In addition, it violates the state of Massachusetts implied state’s rights within the Constitution as well.

Massachusetts elected officials debated the health care issue and along with the Governor, and through due process, created the current Massachusetts health care system. The Federal government has no constitutional right to override what Massachusetts created for its own citizens

We will review all current lawsuits against the Federal Government Health Care Plan and then make a determination as to what course of legal action is best for us to take as a state.

Respecting the Constitution and our rights

I want to give you an example of legislation that defies common sense.... while eroding a basic right provided by the Constitution.

Suppose I told you that because knives are involved in approximately 2,000 murders annually, that we are going to limit the purchase of knives to one knife per month per household. That prohibition includes butter knives, multi-purpose tools, razors and any other object that has a sharp edge. You would think I’m not thinking clearly... and you would be right. Yet that same law regarding firearms is being proposed for law abiding Americans here in Massachusetts who enjoy sporting and hunting activities.

What is disturbing about arguments for these type laws and others is that the sponsors use an “incorporation argument” to defend a policy position via the exclusion of the Bill of Rights. This treads on dangerous ground.

The answer to violent crime and stopping criminals is not to make more laws against the law abiding. ( After all, if you make enough laws... doesn’t everyone eventually become a criminal?) The answer is in enforcement, prosecution and keeping the bad guys behind bars. We have created so many useless gun laws that even the enforcement agencies can’t keep up and they have had minimal if any impact on stopping violent crime. Why? Because criminals don’t obey laws! It’s that simple folks.

When the current Attorney General Martha Coakley says “Technically, it’s not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts” it establishes the precedent that it is OK to break certain laws in our state and country. When you don’t enforce anti-bribery and corruption laws, lawmakers stuff bribes down their shirts. When you don’t enforce campaign finance laws, lawmakers pass legislation that favor their donors. When you don’t keep criminals behind bars, they re-enter society and commit more crimes. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out - it is common sense.

Jim scores 100% with G.O.A.L.

Jim believes in the founding principles of our nation “that all men are created equal and are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights amongst these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Read the United States Constitution, The Bill of Rights and the Massachusetts Constitution.

Partnerships with Local Law Enforcement

There is a war going on within our borders today and our local police departments are on the front lines. Drug cartels, criminal illegals, foreign terrorist cells and participants located right here in Massachusetts cause a grave danger to our local men and women in uniform.

Local law enforcement needs an Attorney General who will put the weight and power of the Attorney General’s office behind them. I will be an advocate for them, their efforts and their departments.

In the fight against corruption, I will form a Joint Law Enforcement Strike Force comprising state, local and Federal law enforcement officers.

Guaranteed confidentiality for law enforcement officers involved in public corruption efforts and the implementation of a non-retribution policy. So if a police officer or chief needs to file a complaint against a government official, they can do so without jeopardizing their careers.

We will be a partner with local law enforcement. Catch the bad guys - prosecute the bad guys - lock the bad guys up. Don’t let them out early. Are we not all tired of repeat offenders getting out early and then committing additional, more serious crimes?

When a criminal defendant is arraigned - we have a state right to ask for proof of citizenship. If not a citizen, work with the local police departments and Sheriffs and get the illegals deported out of this country. We can be the legal advocates to the Federal government in deporting illegal criminals and we can take that task and cost away from the local law enforcement agencies.

Concentrate the Office of Attorney General on Crime Fighting - Not Garden Clubs

The Attorney General of Massachusetts should not be threatening garden clubs (non-profit clubs of gardeners who beautify traffic intersections in our towns by planting flowers) with criminal prosecution and costly litigation while ignoring lawmakers stuffing bribes down their shirts.

We need an Attorney General who will correctly prioritize its resources.

We need an Attorney General with the courage to go after government corruption, illegal immigration, financial fraud, internet scams, civil rights violations, deceptive corporate practices and consumer protection issues.

You’ve convinced me.

I am going to send a contribution to your candidate for for four reasons:

1) Jim McKenna’s positions are good, and show reasoned priorities, tailored to the people he will serve.

2) Your own presentation. If McKenna can draw the support of people who will make the extra effort, and present reasons rather than slogans for electing their candidate, that speaks well of him and his ability to organize and persuade. Quality candidates draw quality supporters.

3) Martha Coakley herself. She is an officer of the court. Beyond that, as an Attorney General, she is an agent of and has an affirmative duty to support law enforcement. Nevertheless, despite these obligations and callings, she watched with indifference while the crime of battery was committed before her eyes, in her presence, and presumably to her satisfaction, her benefit or perhaps even at her behest. She reported nothing, and consequently is an accomplice in that crime - a physical, victim crime of violence. Martha Coakley is, at a minimum, an accomplice after the fact to the crime of battery.

4) Jim McKenna’s proactive stance in defending and preserving the 10th Amendment rights of the State of Massachusetts as against the federal government’s unwarranted encroachments, specifically with regard to federally mandated health control and limitations.

My contribution will be modest as these times are austere. But I will contribute.

God speed and God bless you guys, and give you the victory over your adversaries.
