I am reminded of the bible story where the devil tempts Jesus. The devil offers Jesus all the world and its kingdoms if Jesus will just bow down and worship him.
Well...What Paul Ryan wants to do is worship the devil in exchange for power.

Yes, they will sell their souls for riches or political office. BTW, it isn’t a “truce”; it is surrender. This is why the entire R “tent” needs to be cleaned out.
