Former top Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson is a Washington Post columnist, and there is never a better time for right-leaning columnists to lean left than in the last weeks of an election season. (See George Will trashing Sen. George Allen in the last weeks of 2006.) His rant also may have granted Gerson a seat on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday.
Gerson not only denounced Christine O'Donnell as a wacky candidate like Alan Keyes, he denounced "the childish political thought of the Tea Party." He insisted conservatives were like Bolsheviks. Bloggers like Michelle Malkin and talk show hosts like Mark Levin were "unhinged" against Karl Rove.
Gerson wants to suggest that the Tea Party people are unhinged in their rhetoric, and then he compares them to murderous Russian communists. Remember this the next time Gerson agrees with a liberal that Obama shouldn't be smeared with foreign associations.

At this point, I’m having trouble thinking of any former speechwriters I want to hear from on politics.
We are seeing a new revolution taking place.
The Tea Party versus the ‘Establishment Party’ and the Democrat/Socialist/Communist Party.
Rush was right, either the Republican Party will represent the conservative people of America, or it will become the ‘3rd’ Party in America made up of the lobbyists and RINO worshiping establishment.
I had a high opinion of Krauthammer until recently. What a profound disappointment he turned out to be. Of all the “mainstream” pundits, I would figure Krauthammer to be the one most likely to support genuinely rolling back socialism and slapping down the political elite.
Now it turns out he’s on their side. Good riddance, Charles.
And keep in mind folks, They're all going to find out on November 3rd!
I think we can add Jim DeMint in there and Joe Miller.
When did you ever hear any of these people advocate for freedom, limited government, or low taxes?
They may advocate positions that we agree with them on some foreign policy matters, but rarely do they speak to issues of individual freedom and property rights.
When’s the last time you heard a Republican (RINO or otherwise) propose actual tax CUTS, not simply extending the ridiculously high rates in effect now?
The wheels are coming off......
Use my torch for cutting iron, use my pitchfork for moving hay around, The Cajun has different tools for oligarchs ;^)
Perhaps not all about but getting a good idea. From papa Bush clueing the people in on the coming new world order to jr. Bush telling the people about compassionate conservatism our Nation has been taken to where It now has to overcome the first stages of socialism. No preventitive help from the Clinton’s in between either.
There must be something really big at stake, bigger than what we can see, or know right now.
Christine threw a cog into the works.
All this uncalled for vitriol is not for nothing.

I think their center has broken. They have lost control of events. They may also have found that their efforts to suborn the new players have failed.
Their next move may well be closer cooperation with the Democrats, the other ruling class party.
One thing or the other will be purged from the nation in the near future: corrupt and overreaching government, or Constitutional liberty and the rule of law.
We are fighting for our national existence right now, but the enemy is not at the gates. The enemy is the gate keeper.
Be careful on that one, if true God punches.
“ALL POWER TO THE T.E.A. PARTY!”
Bush looks like he’s trying to stifle a laugh.
We are fighting for our national existence right now, but the enemy is not at the gates. The enemy is the gate keeper.
Your observation has the unmistakeable ring of truth to it.Well said.
What could be bigger than stopping the Marxists and their statist allies from destroying our Country?

The apparatchiki and their masters keeping their jobs and getting their pensions of course.
For the billionth time, Ruling Class: Nobody held a gun up to the heads of the voters in Delaware- they chose ODonnell out of their own free will.

unless she put a spell on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the heck is with the people that worked for Pres. Bush? Are they insane?
If GOP wins both and the establishment does not have control of the party we the people may actually have a say in who holds those position. (Like Mike Pence as Speaker of House. 2nd in line for POTUS.)
You following me?
Now : When Justice Thomas said they SCOTUS were “being evasive regarding the qualification issue, I believe he was using the second, not common meaning of the word.....Not evading as in evading taxes, but evasive as in studying a complicated issue, an evasive issue.
OTOH The SCOTUS must evade the issue until Jan 2011, since all appointments made by BO would be null and void if he were found to be not qualified, leaving the House and Senate to Impeach and Remove...An action needing a GOP majority in BOTH branches. Rumors of BO not functioning is popping up even from people who were once insiders....Chain smoking, loosing weight etc. obvious. Saying "as long as I'm president" repeatedly
Karl may know in inner working of what is being set up, and it may be why he was upset about the possible loss of a senate seat.
We may indeed be in a fight for out nation!
OTOH They may all just be mysonginist control freaks.
Wow, I’m spellbound...I never realized there were so many of them...hate to use a trite phrase but like rats leaving a sinking ship.....this has taken off in a big way!
