Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell responded to old clips that surfaced over the weekend where she said she had once "dabbled in witchcraft," clarifying at a GOP picnic in Delaware Sunday, "I was in high school, how many of you didn't hang out with questionable folks in high school? But no, There's been no witchcraft since, if there was, Karl Rove would be a supporter."
The jab at the former President George W. Bush senior adviser came after Rove had cast doubt on her ability to carry the state for the GOP and said there are too many questions about her past.
The nominee showed up at the picnic in a key county that helped secure her GOP Tuesday primary upset, despite canceling previously scheduled appearances on "Fox News Sunday" and CBS' "Face the Nation." Her campaign backed out of the talk show interviews, saying she needed to get back to Delaware and had a scheduling conflict, including attending church and then the afternoon picnic.
She was greeted with a raucous applause at the annual Sussex County GOP picnic with chants of "yes we can" and "yes we will!"
Many in the crowd kept saying "get over it," to the media when she clarified her original witchcraft comments, which included her giving details about a date she had with a witch. The 1999 tape from "Politically Incorrect" first surfaced Friday when Bill Maher aired it on "Real Time with Bill Maher," saying he would keep airing clips until she appeared on his show.
Local Republicans seemed un-phased by the latest clip, which followed other television interviews that surfaced where O'Donnell talked about such issues as sex and condoms on MTV and to Phil Donahue.

I guess I’m wrong. Rove is still in the campaign business while he is a Fox News contributor. Not that unusual. Some Democrats on Fox are like that. It pays the bills
You have any information as to what benefit, if any, Rove obtained by speaking ill of this woman?
I never thought I’d say Rove and irrelevant belonged in the same sentence.
Now is the time.
The advertisement idea you mention would be treating the issue lightly, which may be best. The next few days will tell if the MSM really thinks they can “run with the story.”
At the very least he's trying to save face over comments he made about the pending race on the air, which make him, the "Architect" and political commentator extraordinaire, look out of touch.
Rove went out of the box, don’t worry it will be a plus.
Thanks.
Here’s a little magic;
“Karl you’re a pile of....
Wait... that’s right you are already the ‘Turd Blossom’!”
:)
Has Rove spoken about 'M' of Alaska yet?
Rove is the one who keeps bringing up this issue and every other issue he can think of!
Maybe she can turn Rove into Newt. That would be something.
Bill Ayers was “into”murder by bombs.
Obama was “into” communism, islam, cocaine, homosexuality, marijuana, falsifying college applications for financial gain, marxism, and making friends with wealthy saudis......and making friends with the dispossessed.....
“Id rather not imagine the things Id have to answer for.”
That’s why a lot of us can’t run for office!
If I recall correctly, the media was busy doing a character assassination attempt on Linda Tripp, Paula Jones and Kathleen Wiley.
One of the consequences of Rove’s poor handling media in addressing the Lefts lies and smears during the Bush Administration, is that he was a personal target for demonization, too. Independents heard nothing about Rove that is not pure evil during the Bush Administration and he was rarely on television to set the record straight.
So, having Rove go on a rip of hate against you, is not such a bad thing when you are hoping to bring in independent voters. Christine should mention often how much Karl Rove hates her.
>>>There are reports he met with Del Tea Party organizers in Dec trying to get them to endorse Mike Castle. Dunno how reliable they are but they’re out there.<<<
I know Russ Murphy - You can bank on what he tells you!
When Rove failed at sweeping the rube (he thought) under the rug, he gave Russ the nickname Grizzly... The nick stuck - Murphy the Marine doesn’t take guff from any political architect - he sent him back to his drawing board - Don’t like it! Won’t do it! Not acceptable! Redo it!
"She turned me into a Newt!"
