Karl Rove, political mastermind for former President Bush, said Sunday that Christine O'Donnell, the Tea Party insurgent who won an upset victory in Delaware for the GOP Senate nomination, "can't simply ignore" the controversy stirred over the disclosure that she "dabbled in witchcraft" and has to find a way to "explain it and put it in its most sympathetic light and move on." "In southern Delaware, where there are a lot of church-going people, they're probably going to want to know what was that all about," Rove said on Fox News Sunday. "And again, she said it on television when she went on the ... the Bill Maher show." Rove was referring to an October 1999 appearance O'Donnell made on Maher's "Politically Incorrect" show where she said," I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven... One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it." O'Donnell had been on Maher's show frequently in the 1990s, and Maher has said he is going to show an O'Donnell clip each week until she agrees to appear again.

So what is so difficult for her to address the question and state it, as you present it?
After all, it’s such a simple little issue, why over 250 posts trying to hide it and attack those who simply ask for her to clarify?
(I’ve never met anybody who nonchalantly attends Satanic rituals and considers it happenstance, but then again I probably am not so well versed in these worldly affairs. I’ve just never had an inkling of finding such things to be either carefree or without consequence from the most senior of authorities.)
One thing about this election, the posers are emerging.
I’ve been in a house with Demons. What now
It may be that Karl is simply for the mushy middle type of Republican and not necessarily a dem. That's what I think, anyway.
But it doesn't make him less of an enemy, it just means that he is going to help lead the fight against the true Conservatives for control of the GOP. There is no question that this control is the prize both the Conservatives and the progressive-lite wings of the GOP are after.
I guarantee it is watched. This is nuts.
No, it is not a joke, but I find it interesting that so many people are attacking fellow conservatives when they simply express loyalty to legitimate authority in God and country.
If a candidate had murdered their parents, I also would find that significant information upon which to consider in my vote.
If they admit to attending Satanic rituals and had been associated with witchcraft, then I also find that significant.
If it isn’t a big issue, then why all the fuss and defensive posturing? Such actions betray the true intent of those claiming there is nothing behind the curtain.
Place your faith in Christ and remain in fellowship with Him.
Same guidance we receive for all situations.
Karl Rove needs to explain why he is endorsing liberals only!
Ting Tang Wallawalla Bing Bang
Thanks for reminding me of a great fun tune when I was a kid!
Probably should.
Time will tell in DE, there are certainly those who agree with your thinking and it isn’t without merit.
My complaint about Rove is, that at this point he isn’t helping anybody but the democrat. His hypocrisy in demanding explanations from ODonnell but not from Obama is clear, if people here on FR can see it, the average reasonable person hearing him can see it too.
If the situation were reversed with Castle winning and the Tea Party crabbing as much after the fact as Rove is, we’d hear nothing from Rove and the establishment pundits except condescending consention as to how unprofessional the Tea Party was.
Rove’s public negativity needs to stop. And let’s all hope that O’Donnell doesn’t have any more skeletons, and even that she could address the ones that are there.
I don’t believe Rove will emerge successful. This is his Waterloo. He’s done, along with the rest of the establishment. Throw the bums out. All of them. For how long have we had to hold our noses? and vote the “R”?
FINALLY
We have waited YEARS. Win or lose, doesn’t it feel good?
Your power of reasoning is hopeless. Let it go.
Rove is merely still trying to prove his relevance.
The Alternative Media allows the Power Brokers to be bypassed..essentially putting Rove out of business..
Her candidacy made it obvious to the world. He of course, takes it personally.
You know good and darned well that “Conservative” hard work is my creed. I am being lectured on this thread about my Creator. I am a God-Fearing fighter that keeps my family and friends above board. It’s all I have.
Rove is merely proving his irrelevance ... and the
evil of those who paid him (prostitute that he is).
America knows the backstabbers and sore losers, now.
Hey Karl ee, how about really going back and explain how candidate O’Donnell got her first name, and who her first name is derived from?
Hey Karl ee, how about really going back and explain how candidate O’Donnell got her first name, and who her first name is derived from?
...and furthermore how she hasn’t changed her name to one of those............
As a supporter of Castle and someone who believes O’Donnell cannot win, I still cannot defend the ongoing attacks by Rove following O’Donnell’s primary win. Rove has shown himself to be a blatant hypocrite.
God is all we all we have! Have no fear, many conservatives forgot Jesus. They are re-finding Him and re-assigning their conservative position. A year from now, it will be different. Remember, years ago, voting for the 'approved' candidate was the conservative thing to do. I'm excited about voting against the lesser of two evils. I've been many times been on the verge of losing faith, but, these past couple month, it's changing, and we feel it in the air.
Hope and Change baby!
