President Barack Obama is throwing his support to vulnerable Pennsylvania Rep. Paul Kanjorski not that Kanjorskis letting anyone know about it.
On Thursday, Obama released an e-mail to supporters blaring:
I need you to support Paul Kanjorski for Congress and urging them to go door to door drumming up support for Kanjorski. You can make calls to voters in your area, and make sure they get to the polls. And you can spread the word about the importance of voting for Paul Kanjorski to your family, friends, and neighbors, the e-mail read.
But Kanjorskis campaign never sent out a press release advertising the endorsement, nor can any mention of the endorsement be found on Kanjorskis campaign website.
And, in a Friday Times Leader article, Kanjorski campaign spokesman Ed Mitchell offered a cool response to the support, saying that We were aware of the endorsement, and that, The congressman welcomes the endorsement of anyone who shares the same values and principles.
Mitchell told POLITICO that the campaign had no intention of publicizing the Obama endorsement.
We have no plans to promote it. We accept it, and we appreciate it, but [Kanjorski] gets endorsements by a lot of people, said Mitchell, noting that the Pennsylvania Democrat had recently won the support of a raft of local labor and seniors groups.
Mitchell also noted that Kanjorski had not asked for the endorsement, saying that the White House asked us if we [wanted] the endorsement. We said we welcomed it.
Kanjorski is facing off against Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta in a rematch of their 2008 contest in an economically hard-hit 11th District.
maybe Mr. Barletta should help ‘ski get the word out.
Obamaphobia is sweeping through the DemocRATik Party.
LOL Ping
Another one on Kanjoke running from 0

An Obama endorsement has just been equated with the same treatment that a mistress gets. "Thanks for your services, but would you mind leaving by the back door and not tell anyone?"
IF they (WH and GOP establishment) had any idea of Mike Castle’s vulnerability, I’ll bet Obama would have campaigned for Castle too. “I need you to support Castle....”
But they were confident of the poll number and conventional wisdom - deep blue DE will never vote for a conservative.
** Ping!
Obama has literally become radioactive to every Democrat who’s running for re-election.
There was an article on the forum yesterday that said something along the lines that an endorsement from Obama was more likely to result in a loss by the endorsee by odds of 3 to 1.
I’ll see if I can find it again.
In a similar vein — There was a very long and wordy ad for Reid on Vegas radio this week with Zero talking about how great Reid was. Should turn everyone off - except for the truck I saw turning into a union hall parking lot - sticker said “I’m for Brother Reid”. Figures it would be a union thug.
I half expect 0bama to start endorsing republicans just to drag down *their* numbers.
Yes he is! I hope he loses big!
ABC News: What Can President Obama Do to Help Democrats?
"As Julie E. Phelan, a research analyst with Langer Research Associates points out, President Obamas endorsement yields more inclination to oppose than to support his choice, by nearly 3-1, 28 percent to 11 percent.
11%.... ?
Isn’t that roughly the African-American population? 10% or so vote Republican but 90% vote Demmunist.
So, aside from that base, Obama is toxic.
If that’s the case, stick Obama in every ad for the next few years!!!
That “Let me be clear...” bit needs to be used. It’s Zero at his most annoying and professorial. “Let me be clear...” Unless you pass this healthcare bill your costs will go up. Then “Let me be clear..” Of course costs are going up! You can’t add 30 million people and have it go down!
“We’ll be clear, Mr. Obama, come election day.”
Yeah! :-)
You mean the DemoCratchnik party, right?
American blacks (please drop the hyphenated A-A) account for about 13% of the population, or 39 million people. Of those, around 2 million are conservative/Republican.
As for putting Obama in our political ads, uttering his unforgettable, "Let me be clear...", I think it's a great idea. He's been the best catalyst for conservative activism we've seen in generations.
American blacks (please drop the hyphenated A-A) account for about 13% of the population,
and what percentage of abortions?
Don't know, Tomas. What's your point?
Because Blacks are 11 or 13 percent of the population but have 35 percent of the abortions, we are lucky they are not 15 or 18 percent of the population. With them voting 90 percent for dems, Bush would have lost his first election.
