Fresh off her victory in Delaware, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is riding a wave of campaign cash but also internet infamy, thanks in part to her controversial statements -- most notably on masturbation -- in the late 1990s on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect." Christine O'Donnell says one of her first dates occurred on a satanic altar.
On Friday, Maher released on his new HBO show, "Real Time," an unaired clip of O'Donnell admitting to a brief dalliance with witchcraft.

The point is, you don’t know and obviously, you do care about it.
So, should we burn her at the stake for having premarital sex or for dabbling in witchcraft?
Or for selling a home BEFORE it was foreclosed upon,or for
beating the IRS at their own game?
Enquiring minds want to know. I only have one lighter.
And please don’t worry so much about Freepers being disappointed by Christine as a leader. We have our big boy pants on.
We just want her to become a Senator and throw a cog in the Obam/Reid/Pelosi machine, since Castle or Coons would not.
Some pretty damaging press came out today...certainly you don't think that is the O'Donnell campaign playing offense, do you?
I don’t care. What annoys me is the repeated charge that being critical of O’Donnell is being opposed to Christianity, since she is supposedly the paragon thereof. If you’re going to market yourself that way, at least act the part.
Who is Bill Maher?
In her 2008 Senate campaign, O'Donnell ran as well as any Republican in Delaware. McCain only got 37% of the vote in Delaware.
It would seem that she did quite well in Del. for a Republican in the 2008 election.
Again, the issue was since she was the GOP nominee in 2008 she must not have been considered too crazy to win then.
Ofcourse, the difference between then and now is that the Party elites had Castle lined up for the office.
I don’t think your premise is correct.
Supporting evidence has not been introduced.
With any unfounded speculation put aside, at this point, it appears that she indeed is acting like a Christian.
She seems self effacing enough to deny being a paragon about anything.
The information I had regarding how well she did must have been in relation to the GOP in Del. in 2008.
As well as? In 2008 Castle won with 61% of the vote, absolutely destroying his Obama-endorsed opponent. 56 Republicans ran for office in DE in 2008, O'Donnell had the 45th best showing among them.
Lies:
l. O’Donnell may have won the primary, but she will not win the general. Rassmussen: 41% O’Donnell, 39% Coon. Also, the primary showed 57,584 votes for both Republican, O’Donnell and Castle. The Democrat primary for State Treasurer only generated 34,721 votes. Does this not suggest that the Republicans are fired up in Delaware?
2. O’Donnell never got a college degree. She received a degree in 2010 in English and Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She says that she would have received the degree in 1993 but it was withheld upon her payment of $4,823 for tuition.
3. O’Donnell never had a job: After college in 1993 she went to work for Enough is Enough, an anti-pornograghy group. She also worked for the Republican National Committee, Concerned Women for America, founded Savior’s Alliance for Lifting the Truth (SALT) in 1996, and the Conservative Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI). The gender discrimination troubles at ISI caused her to lose her house.
4. O’Donnell had her house foreclosed. This was caused by the legal costs fighting ISI in a gender discrimination case.
5. O’Donnell never paid income tax for five years. It turned out to be a “mistake and a computer error.”
6. O’Donnell is a witch. The typical guilt by association lie. O’Donnell talked about this on the Bill Maher show in 1997, more than 13 years ago. She said this even occured in her youth. College years (1987-1993?) High School (1983-1987?). If it occurred in her high school years that would be about 27 years ago. So, what if it happened in her early years? We know she became a evangelical Christian in college and joined the College Republicans at least before 1993, more than 17 years ago. Like I said in an earlier post, the Left would give her at least a merit badge for “dabbling” in witchcraft. For the Left to use it to say that O’Donnell is mentally unstable would cause one to ask, with all the actions of the Left, where it puts them?
The video was not taken into the proper context. Bill Maher is a shill for the Democrats.
See post 428. O’Donnell’s numbers were in the bottom 20% of 2008 DE GOP candidates. Only one statewide race went worse than hers, and Castle won his race with 61% of the vote.
May I ask a question (actually two)?:
Do you live in Delaware?
If not, why are you arguing against the judgment of the Delaware voters?
If so, do you prefer O'Donnell or Coons to be your Senator? Because those are the only choices available.
2. She did not get a college degree until 16 days ago. It was not held up solely because of delinquent fees - she had to take coursework this past summer in order to fulfill the degree requirement. Anyone who said she never finished her college degree was right until just a couple of weeks ago.
3. No one said she never had a job. They have pointed out that she has a very spotty job history and no identifiable job for the past 7 years. She says there were "gender discrimination issues." in reality she was fired for cause.
4. She received a foreclosure notice. That is certainly not a lie. It was her decision to spend her money on a frivolous lawsuit rather than her mortgage. Blaming ISI for her irresponsible delinquency on her mortgage is pathetic.
5. She claims the IRS case was a mistake and a computer error. But she was audited by the IRS. That is no lie.
6. no one said that she is a witch. They said, quoting her own words, that she dabbled in witchcraft. That also is no lie.
You claim that people are telling lies about her, but in reality they're citing facts without also reciting her lame excuses for these facts.
The reality is that she left college without finishing her coursework and did not finish the work until last month, she does have very little credible work history (SALT? Really?) and has been effectively unemployed for the better part of a decade, she was fired from her last real job for cause, she did file a frivolous lawsuit that she eventually dropped, she did get a foreclosure notice from her bank and that was her own fault for not paying her mortgage, she was audited by the IRS and she did say (and no one really cares) that she dabbled in witchcraft. All of this is quite true.
I don’t live in DE. I’m not arguing against the judgment of the DE voters, or even of the 7% of DE voters who voted for O’Donnell in the primary. I am arguing against the judgment of the FReepers who think that O’Donnell should be made the standard-bearer of the national GOP. I want her to win and to be a background utility player in a DeMint-led GOP caucus, not a deeply flawed distraction.
I can dig it.
In my estimation, this race had less to do with O'Donnell winning, per se, and everything to do with defeating Castle.
“First, O’Donnell’s website has one option - a donation option. It has no other information other than a “donate now” button.”
Incorrect.

Looks pretty standard to me.
Again, the point was,(which you all want to avoid dealing with) if she was good enough to be the nominee two years ago, why is she ‘nuts’ now?
Gee, I wonder why Castle did so well in a Obama election?
I didn’t see anything damaging to the essential issue, is she better than Coons?
