The person who wrote this used to be at Slate and New Republic, and it's significant that O'Donnell impressed her.

I’ll say it.
Christine O’Donnell is a terrible candidate.
Her lack of experience does not warrant her to be elected to the United States Senate.
I can point to you a 30-year-old candidate who is now running for the United States House of Representatives who is overwhelmingly more qualified than she is.

She hasn’t been elected yet so the title is BS!

"I never had the high-paying job or the company car," she said. "It took me 10 years to pay off my student loans. I never had to worry about where to dock my yacht to reduce my taxes." (This last John Kerry jab did not go unappreciated by the audience.)
She's got the Palin thing down already.

The author needs to get it right.
The word is “NOMINATION” she won her parties nomination.
The election is still to come.

“Will they atttack us? Yes. Will they smear our backgrounds and destroy our records? Undoubtedly. They will. There's nothing safe about it. But is it worth it? ... I say yes, yes, a thousand times yes. This is no moment for the faint of heart. Some have accused us of being just an aging crowd of Reagan staffers and home-schoolers. They're trying to marginalize us and put is in a box. ... They don't get it. We're not trying to take back our country. We ARE our country.”
Sure sounds like a winner to me.

PeopleSpeak wins again!
Isn’t it remarkable that candidates who lose elections, then decide to run in a write-in election (in other elections, not this one) while ignoring the voice of the People who Speak at the polls somehow consider themselves “in touch and connected” with the very voters they try to dance around to try to get themselves elected anyway!!?

Curious. I said it about Rove earlier, but isn't it a little precipitate to declare someone to be unelectable 24 hours after she has won an election?
That isn't smart analysis, and no wonder Rove backed off. This thing needs a week or two at least to stabilize enough to poll with any hope of reliability. Most of the voters in both parties don't even know who she is yet. They will very quickly, which is one reason the media are doing their best to poison the well. In doing so they have to give her publicity, which is the one thing a dark-horse candidate needs the most. My gut tells me this is likely to be closer than a lot of people are predicting at the moment. IMHO, of course.

I’m watching it now and from what I’ve seen, she’s knocking it out of the park.
She will win......
Rove, you dipstick bastard.

I just watched the speech. Wow.
I usually abhor political speechifying. I found it painful to watch President Bush. I don’t even listen to the Kenyan anti-Christ. Couldn’t stand to listen to Mr. Clinton. I’ve never made it all the way through any address by Mrs. Clinton. Wasn’t much impressed with John McCain.
But this lady can sing. She’s as good, as natural, maybe even a little better than Sarah Palin. She could be, someday, President of the United States of America.
