A Massachusetts school district has apologized to parents after a group of schoolchildren participated in midday Muslim prayers during a field trip to a Boston-area mosque. The incident occurred in May when a social studies class from Wellesley Middle School toured the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, one of the largest mosques in the Northeast. Parents were told their children would be learning about the architecture of a mosque and they would be allowed to observe a prayer service.

Ah, the typical “sorry ‘bout that,” now go away?
Incident occurs in May. They apologize in September. Why? Because the youtube clip of this abomination went viral in September.
Without exposure, I don’t think there would have been an apology.
If they said the wrong prayers, the kids BECAME Muslims.
Will their be a “fatwa” now, on the lives of the poor kids, when they “convert” back to their original faith?
Liar.
.
technology has its positives too.
Can they take the indoctrination out of the kids’ minds?
Sorry just doesn’t cut it.
“But Hale says the mosque was engaged in proselytizing. You can easily imagine what would have happened if a Catholic priest had taken some kids from a school to teach them about Catholicism and have them take communion without telling the parents, he told Fox News Radio. The furor would be visible from outer space.”

Do tell, and the simple answer here is that if they are allowed to get away with it, they’ll keep doing it.
Sue, sue and sue again. Did we learn nothing from our opponents?
I DEMAND more than “sorry!” I DEMAND heads rolling - literally in muslim fashion heads to roll for this! The dripping liberal school establishment’s persecution of Christianity while simultaneously promoting the religions of Islam and Atheism is unacceptable!
Either expose the children to all religious ideas without showing favoritism for one or more and let the ideas compete on their merits or stay out of that business all together!
Remember the school district’s automatic defence against parents suing: “You’ll be suing yourselves”.
Do it, and when you win, demand firings in lieu of cash.
They are apologizing for getting caught.
I’m sure that the trips to the local Church and Synagogue are on the school’s calendar too... right?
Public school is child abuse.
Wow, administrators and teachers apologized from Wellesley Middle School? WELLESLEY? WOW - they got caught and said sorry? It doesn’t take much film to put them back in their places to focus on the 3 R’s.
One Win....
Keep those video cameras rolling
B/S there are a bunch of school districts which have the same kind of field trips to this mosque and it needs to stop NOW.
Where are the parents suing for crying out loud, where are the ACLU and other groups suing?
hypocrisy at it’s best again by the left
The parents should not simply accept an apology. They should INSIST on field trips to a church and synagogue. Then you’ll reveal school admins. as the hypocritical cowards they are.
That's it -- exactly. When I worked at a major university, the VP of the Alumni Association (who ran it) said on a number of occasions in staff meetings, "We'll do what we want, then ask forgiveness later."
It often occured when he wanted to do something that would upset the alumni, went against university policy, or when he couldn't get university approval. Afterwards, he would claim it was a mistake and apologize.
“Remember the school districts automatic defence against parents suing: Youll be suing yourselves.
And if you win, you’re getting your money back. Just think of it as a tax cut.
An apology would not be good enough for me. That school would go to court.
