Snip from the article:

the [Costco security] guard had told police that Erik Scott was armed with a gun, was acting aggressively and erratically, and that he may have been under the influence of drugs

That's pretty much all it would take to get hopped up jack booted thugs ready to shoot someone to show up. My bet is that the security guard said Erik was waving his gun around, destroying property, throwing things, etc. Whatever the Costco employee said, I'll place bets that it doesn't match the internal video tape (that's unusable).

Police shot him, yes, but Costco is equally culpable in my book.

Where is this established as fact. As far as I can tell, it is an assumption or speculation based on what was dispatched and the massive police response. We know what the police dispatch and audio traffic was. We have no proof of what the security guard or other costgo employee actually said. I wouldn't make such an assumption until it was proved as fact.

again, we do not know what the guard said.the assumption and speculation is what you said but we don’t know that as fact. it may not be so. the easy way to prove it would be the police release the 911 tape. why they haven’t done that only they know. Could it be it doesn’t support the theory of what the guard said?
