(CNSNews.com) - Zachari Klawonn, a Muslim U.S. Army specialist stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, told the Arabic-language television network Al Jazeera in a recent interview that training he had undergone in the U.S. military was propaganda against Islam.
Fort Hood is the Army installation where Maj. Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, executed a terrorist attack last November. Hasan has since been charged with murdering 13 people and attempting to murder 32 others. Al Jazeera is based in Qatar.
U.S. Army Specialist Klawonn told Al Jazeera he was subject to disrespectful comments and harassment of his property from fellow soldiers and from the Army command itself.

There is no correct spelling of Moslem/Muslim. Any spelling using Latin characters is a transliteration and an approximation. There are also many regional variations of the vowel sounds in Arabic, none of which sound quite like any English or American vowel sounds. It is as with the name Hussein. The name may as correctly be spelled Hussain (except when it is the name of an American originally spelled with the Latin alphabet) or Hussain or Hossayn etc. Arabic variations transliterate approximately as Hassan, Hosni, Hussein etc. For the religious adjective I tend to use “Moslem” or “Mussulman” or “saracen.” Moor will also do or paynim.
I always thought “Moslem” is the older English form of “Muslim”. The former sounds almost harmless, “mozzlemm” unlike the later which is uttered with a hiss - “moossslimm!”
Anyway, IMO the correct term for a ROPer is “Mohammedan” or “Mahometan” since it is clear that they worship their must-never-be-criticized “prophet” with far greater fervor than their cold distant “Allah”.
And yes, I support expulsion of all Mohammedans from our `infidel’ midst, and the immediate nuclear destruction of their unholy city which they call “Makkah”.
Deus vult!
I wouldn’t doubt that there’s been a muslim soldier that died bravely in the service of the United States.
I also don’t doubt that the risk of having muslims in the military is, on the whole, simply too great a risk. Just like any Japanese soldiers in the U.S. military during WWII were put in the European theater, not the Pacific.
It’s impossible to know the difference. There’s no gain in taking any chances. War is about winning. Not making friends.
BTW It is not islamophobia. We are not afraid of you, we just don't like you.
They prove it every day.
“A Muslim in Arabic means “one who gives himself to God,” and is by definition, someone who adheres to Islam. By contrast, a Moslem in Arabic means “one who is evil and unjust” when the word is pronounced, as it is in English, Mozlem with a z.”
Why Do People Say Muslim Now Instead of Moslem?

Thanks a bunch Viking. I’ve got 9 days and a wake-up and I’m getting on a C-17 for the first leg of my journey back, then a charter into BWI. Nothing like hearing that announcement on the intercom,” ...ladies and gentlemen we’re now making our initial approach in the United States”. It always gives me chills.
Just put him back in the ranks and let the boys take care of him. I’m a retired ranger. Believe me his life expectancy in any kind of a firefight just got real short.
Has anyone ever proven exactly how diversity is strength?
We live in an age of mindless slogans, just like something out of a George Orwell novel.
I guess if the current President can disparage this country, it follows that a man in uniform can do the same.
Our neighbors from Palestine speak Arabic with a Jerusalem accent ~ which means most of the Egyptians, North Africans, Saudis, Syrians and Iraqis around here can't quite understand them.
There's a lot of flexibility on the part of vowels in the Semitic languages ~ they're not at all tied down which is why they use DOTS ~
Being a Muslim is to have allegiance to Islam and Hate; is not compatible with freedom and inalienable rights, the U.S. Constitution or being an American!
Unlike many other belief systems and philosophies which have some type of separation between church and state; Islam undermines all freedoms and individual will, having precepts which preclude members from participating in the furtherance of what it clearly defines as infidels and their success.
Stay safe. Will be praying for you and all the other service men and women. : )
