One could also say this decision defined marriage as one man, one woman.
I think it’s more about an attempt to bribe the Mormons who were instrumental in Prop 8. Let us have gay marriage and we’ll let you have polygamy.
This is sick. And wrong. Our culture is under attack.
The same legal arguments that have been used for homosexual marriage can and will be used to justify polygamy.
All the talk about consenting adults wanting loving relationships, how it’s “discriminatory” for society to limit the definition of marriage and all of that, will be used in future court cases to declare polygamy a constitutional right.
Rachel Maddow once ridiculed someone who said that if we have gay marriage, the next thing you know, somebody will marry a horse. While that is a stretch to go to inter-speciies marriage, barriers are being broken by gay activists in court. And the polygamy activists may well be next.
Heck, the people on this show admit that they want to influence societal views of polygamy. This is not just a documentary, it’s intended to be a persuasive program towards this alternative lifestyle.
