$1,000,000 in 24 hours. Start the clock on the corrosive force of money/power washington that has corrupted all the others.

Anyhow, she ought to send Cornyn’s $42,000 NRSC check back to him, “No thanks.”

This money won’t corrode because it is coming from the people. She will not be beholden to the party or special interest groups (at least, not based on what she’s raised so far).

I disagree. She looked like the adult in interviews right after she won...it might feel good to throw the money back in their faces but it's a greater win to be the adult and show the NRSC as the petulant children.

I think that is a great idea.

Rebecca Bradford, President of Texas Federation of Republican Women TFRW.ORG sent out the following statement this morning in an attempt to cover for Cornyn. I am going to respond, perhaps others might wish to as well.

“We all know and respect Senator Cornyn and in our hearts know he would not do anything to hurt the candidacy of any Republican. I understand some of our members and others were upset that a confusing message was released regarding the Delaware Senatorial Primary. Please explain to your friends and neighbors, who may not know the Senator as we do, that when we hear news releases or comments on television and the radio we need to pause and watch for complete information before we jump to conclusions.

We also know that when incomplete information is released to the public as casual comments there are people “out there” ready and willing to jump on that information to pass it along and further confuse the situation and the voters.

We are all concerned; we all want Republican candidates to win offices at all levels of government. Our very future depends on this. . . .don’t be led astray by those who are trying to mislead you. Thanks for your vigilance.

Rebecca Bradford
President, Texas Federation of Republican Women

Oh no. That’s not elegant enough. Keep in mind that when Christine wins, she’ll be able to fund other campaigns out of her campaign chest. Perhaps to a primary challenger of Sen. Cornyn.

And then she should donate precisely $42,000.
