Rebecca Bradford, President of Texas Federation of Republican Women TFRW.ORG sent out the following statement this morning in an attempt to cover for Cornyn. I am going to respond, perhaps others might wish to as well.
“We all know and respect Senator Cornyn and in our hearts know he would not do anything to hurt the candidacy of any Republican. I understand some of our members and others were upset that a confusing message was released regarding the Delaware Senatorial Primary. Please explain to your friends and neighbors, who may not know the Senator as we do, that when we hear news releases or comments on television and the radio we need to pause and watch for complete information before we jump to conclusions.
We also know that when incomplete information is released to the public as casual comments there are people “out there” ready and willing to jump on that information to pass it along and further confuse the situation and the voters.
We are all concerned; we all want Republican candidates to win offices at all levels of government. Our very future depends on this. . . .don’t be led astray by those who are trying to mislead you. Thanks for your vigilance.
Rebecca Bradford
President, Texas Federation of Republican Women
Cornyn’s “well, then....we’ll have to have a pow-wow” comment was some off-the-cuff, out-of-the-elevator comment.
I don’t know what he really meant, nor what drives him day to day.
What I do know is that he’s done some good work in the past, and I see a lot more “republican guns” turned around on him than are being aimed at reid and/or Obama today.
To be fair, the reports about the NRSC not supporting her came from some unnamed sources
Well Rebecca, I read your condescending note twice and still have no idea where Cornyn stands on anything. You used up a lot of words to say NOTHING. I must assume that was your intent.
