Cornyn’s “well, then....we’ll have to have a pow-wow” comment was some off-the-cuff, out-of-the-elevator comment.
I don’t know what he really meant, nor what drives him day to day.
What I do know is that he’s done some good work in the past, and I see a lot more “republican guns” turned around on him than are being aimed at reid and/or Obama today.
Cornyn has been part of the game too long to get caught with his pants down and calls into question again as to who is pulling the strings at NRSC. Castle was “their boy” and suited their program just fine. Pow-wow doesn’t cut it in this Good Old Boy State. The only response he could and should have made would have been to the effect that the voters had made their selection and, of course, we will support that candidate. IMO no national organization should ever get involved in any primary.
