emocrat Chris Coons holds a double-digit lead over Republican hopeful Christine ODonnell in the first Rasmussen Reports post-primary survey of the U.S. Senate race in Delaware.
Coons earns 53% of the vote to ODonnells 42%, with leaners included. One percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.
Bush lost Delaware by 20 points. Christine is at 10.
Good job Rove.
It’s winnable.
So we went to far with O’Donnell, but a self described Marxist is perfectly mainstream?
Smarter? Haven’t they been solid blue for a long time? I’m not saying this is an impossible case, but I wouldn’t call them ‘smart’.
Yeah but castle would of been a shoo in! We could of have looked forward to more working with our friends across the aisle and maybe two more sonia/kagan radicals
Looks like the Tea Party just sent a “bearded Marxist” to the Senate. Good job guys! Castle may be a liberal weenie, but I’d rather have that than a Marxist twit like Cooms. I know all the happy talk about O’Donnell being able to win this, but an 11 point gap isn’t likely to close much esp. when the Dems start running ads about all of O’Donnell’s Jesus talk and the fact she sues friends and alleges crimes without calling the police. We just put one of the worst leftist loons we can imagine into the Senate...face it folks. We screwed the pooch. We will rue the day we lined up behind O’Donnell, mark these words. Cooms will be Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, Barbara Boxer, Sherrod Brown, and Al Franken all rolled into one and super-charged. This guy is going to be a major parriah in the Senate and what’s more he’ll be there for life. Flame away, but I’m pissed at our short-sightedness here and you’ll never convince me nominating O’Donnell was the right thing. Better to take a plate of 50% of what you want and 50% of what you don’t, which is what we’d have gotten from Castle, than a full plate of steaming cow pies which we’ll get from Comrade Cooms.
LOL, thank you for that blast from the recent past, nhwingut!
C'mon, FReepers... Let's help Christine win this thing:
The Baghdad Bob media got that one wrong somehow lol.
Two days ago she was down 25, wasn’t she?? If Rove and the rest of the ruling class, republican elite would simply STFU, it might tighten VERY quickly. But don’t look for MSNBC, CBS, CNN and the like to halt their invitations to Rove at al any time soon. So called republicans are doing the hatchet job FOR the MSM!!!!
Only 1 way to go....up. she’s raised a million dollars in 24 hrs....the commies will have to take from another to save this coins Guy.

Rove is not stupid. Maybe he had a plan to be negative and get everybody worked up on O’Donnell’s behalf. Then the bid for money came next. We all gave and now she can compete with her huge donations......Did Rove plan this?
Well, it worked if he did.
“The bottom line is my pet dog Skippy could win in a landslide running as a Republican, unless... The GOP establishment submarined their own nominee out of spite, because an outisder won the nomination instead of the insiders hand picked candidate. And that is exactly what we are seeing. Thank you Tokyo Rove, and your fellow travelers in the GOP.”
You could be right. With the GOP trashing her and the LSM trashing her, Christie has an uphill fight ahead of her in this blue state for sure. But she can win!!!! Believe me, she can win. If Brown can win in Mass., O’Donnell can win in DE. It all starts with campaign cash. I donated to her today and I urge all FReepers to do the same.

Plus, it was a 22-point spread in some very recent polls.
I’m not a breathless fan of O’Donnell’s personal foibles, but her conservative positions seem sound — and Coons is out of the question! So go Christine!
“Yes, and where are the Dems going to give their money? To elect Coons or to protect Reid, Boxer, Murray, Feingold. They are under pressure everywhere and will run low on ammo.”
George Soros
Your optimism is infectious! Thanks for sharing.
OD Needs money to get her message out.
I had a similar thought last night...diss her on the air, create an instant controversy, then appear to grudgingly about-face. It would be a brilliant way to get her huge amounts of exposure. I was just worried though if I was delving into tinfoil hattery when I had it.
