I don’t believe this is a normal election cycle and people haven’t been waiting to pay attention. They have been eager for this election since the passage of the health care bill. This poll is off and I don’t buy we’re even for a second.

Battleground is a good pollster, but this seems to be a poll of registered voters, not likely voters, making it pretty worthless this close to the election

I found this one showing most accurate polling firms for 2008 Presidential election.

Reads like statistical convolution based on a 2008 demographic polling. There’s way too much fuzzy here for me to get a reading.

These two pollsters seem to work well together.

Republicans had better take note: NOTHING is guaranteed. Obama’s agenda must be crushed, so we need to quit cutting each others throats...and quit thinking we’ve got this election “in the bag”. We don’t.

Post of the thread. This is not a typical election cycle for the reasons you mentioned. RINOS are getting knocked off in the PRIMARIES. The electorate is awakening and they are pi$$ed off.

Roughly one poll in twenty will produce results outside the margin of error. This poll obviously is one of those outliers. End of story. Nothing to see here folks. Move on.

Sounds like this poll only sampled people living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. By next week Obamski should have all the dissenters out of HIS house and, while the unemployment numbers will uptick slightly, the polls will be more favorable to the DemocRATs... /sarc

Yeah, it shows an 8 point advantage for us.

Politico did a good job spinning it considering the replies on this thread LOL!

In the West — defined as Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington — Democrats hold a blowout 51-31 generic advantage.

Yeah...right.

“Now, that people start to pay attention to politics and the Dhims with their MSM friends work extra hard to portray the Republicans as ‘extreme’, things are not going to be as rosy as in early Summer.”

I agree, but this reminds us that we need to redefine the term ‘mainstream’. Over the past several decades the MSM and entertainment industry have incrementally redefined mainstream, and like it or not the majority of Americans use the MSM and the entertainment industry as yardsticks of American culture and of what is ‘mainstream’. They have also done a very good job of picking out specific conservative groups and individuals as ‘examples’ of how ‘out there’ the right is. The right let them do this. The true moderates let them do this. We will not be able to save the America we love without reversing this.

Maybe you respect it and that is your choice. Rasmussen is the most accurate pollster over the last 3 election cycles and finishes 1st or 2nd among other pollster opinions of which of their own are the most accurate.

Politico is so far Left it isn’t even funny any more. When they team up with a University pollster, forget about it.

This is NOT the Lake/Goes Battleground Poll. IIRC - That is only done for presidential races.

This is the liberal Politico/ George Washington University "Battleground" poll.

Politico, good little lap dogs they are, are trying to sell a scenario where ANYTHING less than taking House and Senate is a calamitous defeat for the GOP.

Now, that people start to pay attention to politics and the Dhims with their MSM friends work extra hard to portray the Republicans as ‘extreme’, things are not going to be as rosy as in early Summer. I still expect us to win the House, but it’s not going to be as easy as some people seem to believe.

The MSM have yet to even begin with their bias/spin surge that will start Oct 1st or abouts......Though, I do believe less and less believe them.....constant propoganda still works...and the MSM will do all they can... They lie/spin and go with bias stories each day...but election time they surge all three...
