Karl Rove and Sean Hannity duked it out tonight over Christine O'Donnell's win in the Republican Senate primary in Delaware, with Rove, surprisingly, calling some of O'Donnell's remarks "nutty" and conceding that "this is not a race we're going to be able to win."
"This was about Mike Castle's bad votes," Rove said tonight on Fox News. "It does conservatives little good to support candidates who, at the end of the day, while they may be conservative in their public statements, do not evince the characteristics of rectitude and truthfulness and sincerity and character that the voters are looking for."
Rove pointed out that there have been a lot of questions about O'Donnell's finances, and some of her allegations against Castle. Hannity fired back that he interviewed her about all of those things.
"Did you ask her about the people who were following her home to her headquarters?" Rove asked, adding: "There are just a lot of nutty things she's been saying."
"We were looking at eight to nine seats in the Senate," he continued. "Now we're looking at seven to eight, in my opinion. This is not a race we're going to be able to win."

So we put someone in office just as bad?? Rather takes pointing out that dems are liars, loons and do not pay their taxes off the table, doesn’t it?
Rove has disassociated himself from an embarrassing candidate. I can’t say that I blame him. She is a liability after all. This way the RNC can still say they dont support such people. If she wins, she might vote as she has claimed and ultimately be a possible asset to Conservatives.
Right, after any RINO wins a primary we conservatives get on the air, trash them, act like liberal hacks and intentionally try and hurt their chances in the general election.
In the past we have held our noses and voted for these RINO’s aka liberal/progressives at the It’s All About The Party Boys and RINO’s insistence and what have we got for our support? Taken to task for demanding ANY support at all for a conservative position. RINO’s demanding to set the agenda and to be catered too and treated like royalty less the bolt and vote with the liberal/progressives or flat out change parties, hello snarlin arlen.
So now we say no to the establishment candidate IN A PRIMARY, the way you It’s All About The Party Boys and the RINO’s have insisted we do if we want change. You know the yap, “work within the party to change it...” and we are the bad guys?
Who acted like foaming at the mouth, lets get the torches and pitchforks out liberals, and how dare they defy us, so lets go attack the conservative candidate last night?
Answer: the “It’s All About The Party Boys and the RINO’s” that’s who!
Dang. If Rove were not a married man I would say that pile of poo had a characteristic odor of nerd scorned. As it is, it's just utterly inexplicable.
I am reminded of the line from the Bible that goes
“Let him who is without sin throw the first stone.”
Duh!!!!
Karl should get off the stage. His 15 minutes ended a long time ago.
Worst of all, it got me to thinking of how Hillary reacted to Obama’s winning the DemonRat presidential nomination that Hillary craved ore than anything else in her accursed life: she sucked it up like a real pro and went on to campaign for Obama. She was ten times the man and ten times the pro Rove was last night. Never would I have thought I’d compare Hillary and Rove with Rove coming out second.
