I do see that point and I couldn’t agree more. I guess I just didn’t see as much vitriol in that Rove interview as others have attributed to him.
He doesn’t think that O’Donnell is a strong candidate or believe that she can survive the Dem’s meatgrinder in a very liberal state. Big deal. The Tea Party Conservatives will give a good fight and we’ll see.
I just didn’t see the foaming, frothing, furious Rove that’s being portrayed here. Heck, the guy looked like he needed a nap.
Yes, he should’ve given her support. But it just sounded to me like he was calling it like he saw it.
I *hate* Alan Colmes. I have NO respect for Juan Williams. The reason why is that they do nothing but spew the party line. Every interview with them is a vomit of liberal talking points. There’s no honesty. No self-criticism. They’re apologists and nothing more.
So is this what we’re supposed to do now? Are we to walk lock-step with the rest of the crowd and bury our heads in the sand when disturbing things come up? That’s how we ended up with so many RINO’s in the first place. Standing behind candidates who we knew were crap and ignoring the real problems.
As I see it, Rove said, “I’m a little concerned. This candidate may have some serious issues,” and the conservative blog blew up in his face. We always say that liberals eat their own, but apparently we do it too. here’s 100 times more vitriol on this thread toward Rove than he ever showed O’Donnell.
I see your point, but what Rove doesn’t seem to realize is that there has been some anger in the conservative base building up towards him and the rest of the ruling class for a very long time. Many of us blame him in part for losing in 2006 and for being such a bad advisor to President Bush in his second term. We are tired of being told that party line is more important than party principles.
