I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O’Donnell. It was on Sean Hannity’s FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC. The establishment Beltway strategist couldn’t even bother with an obligatory word of congratulations for O’Donnell. He criticized her “character” and “rectitude” and claimed she hadn’t answered questions about her financial woes. She did so here. Rove mocked her security concerns as “nutty.” Yet, her concerns have been more than justified. See here.
Rove came across as an effete sore loser instead of the supposedly brilliant and grounded GOP strategist that he’s supposed to be. Expect more Washington Republicans to start sounding like Tea Party-bashing libs as their entrenched incumbent friends go down.
At O’Donnell’s victory speech, she invited a 9/12 patriot to speak. He sent a special message right back to Rove, recounting how Rove had met with Delaware 9/12-ers and Tea Party folks to try and convince them to back the “more electable” candidate. “No one is going to tell us how to take care of business,” the 9/12-er said he told Rove. And now, he observed, the “more electable” candidate Rove wanted them to vote for has been…unelected.

Sources at the Christine O’Donnell victory party revealed to The Freedomist that in December of last year Karl Rove met with Tea Party leaders in Dover, Delaware trying to get them to cut a “deal” in which they would leave Mike Castle alone and NOT support O’Donnell.
The Freedomist has also learned that Rove was allegedly acting as an operative, although in what capacity it is not known, even as he is playing the role of a political analyst on Fox New in a fair and balanced way.
Tonight he was the turd minus the blossom.
He was the one who had Bush make a left turn to “take the democrat’s issues away from them.”
That strategy worked great in the long run, didn’t it?
He can’t level a single criticism of obama without first telling us how he’s smart, a good speaker, etc, garbage.
He owes whatever reputation he has to the democrats not wanting to admit their losses were due to their poor candidates and poor messages. They had to build up rove to blame his (alleged) prowess for their losses. And many here bought it.
I despise this pasty faced punk. Hopefully now even blockheads like Hannity will get it.

I agree whole heartedly. This sure has been an eye opener of an election cycle.
...but Castle voted with the Democrats to start an investigation about whether Bush had committed any impeachable crimes. How could Rove support him? It doesn’t make any sense.
Rove helped GWB almost lose to two of the worst candidates in history. In fact, he helped GWB lose the popular vote to Al Gore the Tree.
To Rove and the inside the beltway types this is a strategic game like chess

Christine may win Delaware, she may not.
However, the one SURE LOSER in future elections are RINO’s.
That message was sent in a big way tonight.
The 9/12 guy is at the end of the video, but he really smacks down Karl Rove! This isn’t about the Party, it’s about the principle and We The People!!

Karl Rove looking for a spot on CNN or MSNBC?
Rove is a pure tactician like dick Morris. Tonight he turned on conservatives much like Morris turned on Clinton. This will give rove access to CNN msnbc nyt and all the outlets he craves for greater attention.
I still think bush was principled. Advisers like rove never were vcheney was.
